I think he decided to use Ross for a game where we, hopefully, are not 4 or 5 down. I still would have rather used Mormann, but hindsight is always 20/20.

Pitching change for the Tigers. Mormann is coming in.

He did well after the 1st. He threw so many pitches in each inning that he could only go 5, though.

1st and 3rd, no outs...

yeah, we are conceding, the pitching pattern is similar to game 2 of the CWS final last year

This series reminds me so much of Alabama last year. Got killed the second game against a good hitting team and Mainieri kind of conceded putting Byrd and Alsup in.
