I didnt realize he was trying to steal and fell
but Nola just got thrown out at 3rd with 2 outs trying to advance on a ball that barely got away from the catcher. Our base running has been subpar the last 2 years. we have (2) very "green" coaches coaching the bases.
there is no reason to be overly aggressive trying to move to 3rd in that situation with 2 outs

Is it just me or does it seem that most of Gaudet's homeruns are hit to the opposite field?

Aggressive baserunning is fine...relaxes the players...however if there are no guidelines, then it becomes what you are saying.."extremely"..or "overly"...and your risk/reward ratio goes to crap.
Our base coaches are not giving the kids good info out there. thats jmho...
