2 innings for this staff we'd be good

Not trying to be an arse here...but why does everyone seem so "shocked" at how bad the pitchings been ? Last year AR Coleman, Burt, Ott and Jones were the only good ones. 2 graduated. One got Hurt and Bert is struggling mildly compared to last year.

Jones threw 6.6 innings. I'm confident we would have won the NC without him

I disagree. He got some big outs at the end of the regular season and the SEC tourny, which led to a top 8 seed. He got some big outs in the first game of the Texas series.

Not to mention he gave the team a big boost of emotion.

People like Ross and Bradshaw are performing much worse than they ever have. And you still don't expect it to be this pitiful no matter what you lose from the previous year.

After 27 runs it's going to be a pitchers duel?

A complete inning without a run, WTF? I thought I was listening to LSU/Vandy, not a Texas/Stanford game.

Those guys always have had around 5.00 ERAs...I mean I don't know how people can expect guys like this to all of a sudden turn it on. Their just not good enough

yeah he pitched well, I'm not denying that, but we had what it took to get the NC without him. He pitched 6.6 innings. I mean, we did really well the rest of the season without him. Just saying we could have gotten by.

Hell yea, he came out of nowhere when we needed somebody to step up!! He was a monster on the mound.

Bertuccini will stay in to pitch for the Tigers.

Top 7...

Strike, 0-1...
Inside, 1-1...
Strike, 1-2...
In the dirt, 2-2...
Groundout to Hanover, 1 out...

The guy has a decent point that our pitching was pretty thin last year...very top heavy. We found Chad Jones in the middle of the year and we needed him when we did.

But, to say that he expected our pitching to struggle the way it has over the last 3 weeks is a joke. He didn't expect that...nobody did.
