Who would you prefer?
??? Someone who can hit .210?? Throw out a runner every now and then.
Nothing against Mathis - he seems like a good kid. Just wish we could see him produce like we think he can. Hell, you can just about say that for the entire team. So, I guess it's not fair to single him out.

There were tons of threads through the years shitting on Papierski
Papierski was at least decent behind the plate. He just couldn’t hit.
Mathis can do neither.

I doubt Mathis can do much with that finger.

Pap always finished strong offensively. Maybe Mathis can do the same. Doubt it, but maybe.

Ok so who on the team do you prefer?

Gio is a prime example of what a player that does not have a hitting coach looks like.

Motherfricker was money in 2017 during the postseason.

Don't worry bro. Same team. I'm just tipsy and emotional after that second inning.

Pap was way above decent.

Well, he’s pretty fricking bad.
I will never shite on a college kid who gives max effort like Mathis does. Yes it's frustrating, but we have no one else that can play catcher right now unless you want Braden Daughty or Bianco in there
