I'm hoping they get some more ABs things start turning around. It's obvious SEC level pitching has overwhelmed them early on.
Yeah but what are they doing with their at-bats though? I see so many one pitch ABs with these guys. This has been the case for ALL of PM's teams. They're still trying to play ball like they did pre-BBCOR era and that just doesn't work.
We fired Javi for this very reason and the problem is still there. What's the greatest common denominator when you look at that?

Pitched the same crew less poche

I think we'll win 24. But not in a row.

He may be big but I don't think he has a great bat.

That crew isn't the best relievers.

Pretty much shows how inferior ULL is to SEC competition, eh Joe?

They tell themselves that they're being AGGRESSIVE by swinging at the first pitch.

Newman and Gilbert are the top 2.

I've never been huge on Poche, why is he still our game one starter?

This week? Out of necessity.

Not that I disagree with you, but what good explanation is there for neither of them pitching tonight in a game that we trailed 2-1 entering the bottom of the 7th?

A fair question that needs to be asked.

Not really. I'll use LSU logic. We gave the game away. 4 errors and in the game. Lil

See that's the thing...you can be aggressive and still be smart at the dish. We aren't smart. We don't make pitchers pay for mistakes because we constantly get ourselves out on the first pitch without allowing the pitcher to get to pitches where he can make mistakes.
They don't see pitches and they don't have the power to do that. It's ridiculously dumb baseball.

I think Josh is going to call the coach's show on Monday and ask.

Dude go cheer on your sorry arse Lafayette team.

So PM used Norman instead of Newman/Cartwright. Good. But it's still 2-1 and you go with Bugg? Why not Devall? Or let Norman keep going and try to scratch one in the 8th and see? Anyone but Bugg.
