His velocity was up tonight, according to Ronnie Rantz. But his curveball was up in the zone. I don't think in 2 innings he got one UF batter to swing and miss at his curveball. So he was basically just pitching with his fastball, which was getting hit.

Not really... They have struggled with timely hitting and pitching all year. The pitching is just running into hot hitters and we are getting some bad breaks with fielding.

I don't think he's still injured. The pain was when he brought his arm back...not when he was throwing. His velocity was 92-93 last weekend which is not bad for him. However, they have been talking about how mechanically, he's not all back right now.
Last week, he couldn't get the ball down for his life. Mainieri has always said that Ranaudo is so good because he throws with that natural downward angle. When he leaves the ball up, it's a lot flatter. I think guys are just hitting it.
