I know this guy hasn't given up an earned run this year, but I would sure like to see us hit him and score runs so I don't have to think we can't hit good pitching, if he is indeed that good.

wow infield ground outs. this guy must be throwing a good one at us.

He is good. Good command of the strike zone, on the edges. LSU hitting a lot on the ground. Doesn't look overwhelming but has good placement.

Through 4 innings

Haig - 62 pitches
Ranaudo - 67 pitches

We need to work Haig moe to get to Illinois' weak relief pitching

The big thing is that LSU has 5 hits, but they are all singles. You can give up singles all night and not give up too many runs. It's giving up XBH which kill a pitcher. Well, that and walks.

OFF TOPIC: God, Ranaudo is good.

Thats what I am thinking. LSU is putting the ball in play, but nothing to show for it.

thanks for the info. Hopefully we either get at him soon, or he gets tired and those pitches come up a little.

he hasn't allowed a run through 4 innings which is impressive against this LSU team
but then again MVS did the same thing

Three main guys who have pitched the most in relief have a 5.40, 7.36 and 11.57 ERA.

They have 4 guys who have a 0.00 ERA but 3 of the 4 have only pitched 1 inning and the last only 2 innings.

Renaudo is on fire. Unreal. Don't think it will take but a few runs, these guys are whiffing.

I agree work the counts a little around 80 is usually when a pitcher has to work to keep the ball down and will make mistakes.

Part of the MVSU success was the fact that with the ump in that game, if the catcher caught the ball, it was a strike.
