we were supposed to play USC but they stood us up. not top 25 but a good conference. and next year we go to the Houston College Classic. it's not all bad.

Playing weekend series against the trams we have is going to have us heading to Vanderbilt with no idea how our bullpen can handle a one run lead or a tie game. We can't find out who can bunt, who can steal a base when needed, or who to count on in the clutch.

So if USC didn't screw us it would have been

USC
VT (one game)
UL (one game)
Purdue

Not horrible 5 games against possible tourney teams and a possible sleeper Purdue

Really? We hammered them that day. I thought we had more.

Choup, agreed. We knew that going in too. That's why I can see a sweep or a 1-2 that weekend. Not to say Vandy is better. But they'll be twice as prepared.

I agree to an extent. I don't think we need top 25 every weekend. But these cakewalks for 4 straight weeks are counter productive.

I don't claim to know the scheduling, but I think these northern teams are more than happy to get games in the south this time of the year.
