To everyone not going to the game, what bar will all of you be watching it at?

Be aware these bars (and most tbh) will have a cover charge for the game and possibly all weekend. Check their Facebook pages for information if you want to plan ahead. If you want a good spot for the rustic tap, get there early and don’t leave. Not much room or seating in there.

I suggest just walking around until finding an atmosphere you like. It’ll be purple and gold damn near everywhere

I'll be at the Rustic Tap. Bought a ticket that should allow me to skip the line to get in and saves a seat at the bar. There may be some of those still available, so that's worth looking into.

Can't wait to get to Austin.

Where’d you buy a ticket, and what does it include?

Shoal Creek is further out and away from the action.

Rustic Tap is great - open air, beer garden kind of vibe and right on West Sixth where there’s a bunch of other bars. Fun spot, would be my pick. ETA - looks like this is where the official LSU alumni association is holding their events all weekend and their watch party.

Lavaca Street Bar is downtown and is a home for all SEC fan bases. Solid choice, been there a bunch. It’s indoors.

Shiner Saloon is on Congress, right in the middle of downtown and is also an LSU bar. Never been. Indoor bar.

Note - You can easily walk from lavaca street bar and Shiner Saloon to West Sixth.

LSU fans drive/fly to Austin only to pick the Louisiana bar in the Market District some 3 miles away from Darrell K. Royal stadium.

If possible, wait to go to Shoal Creek on Sunday to watch Saints-Texans.

Best believe we will have a large number of people complaining about how bad the seafood/Cajun is in the area because that’s all they tried to eat while in Austin

A group on FB. I'll try to find it. It's only $15 but like I said, it saves you a space at the bar and allows you to skip the line to get in.

If you're going to eat cajun, hit Sawyer & Co. for Breakfast/Brunch one of the days.

Landing in Austin Friday morning at 7am. Looking to meet up with Tigers on Friday and of course Saturday!

I lucked out and found a lower level ticket on vivid seats 6 months ago for $300.

I have had this trip circled since 2014!

Eating Cajun while in Austin makes as much sense as eating BBQ while in South Louisiana.

I'll be around baw. Have tickets to the alumni tailgate so will be in that general direction pregame. Staying downtown on West 6th.

Agreed. Never underestimate the "wit" of some of South Louisiana's finest though.

You won't be watching this game on Sunday. It's the first Monday night game of the season, part of a double-header.
