It amazes me how those immature little jerks seee no problem with making LSU- and Louisiana- look like vulgar fools on national television.

I'm a student, and I resent that. I personally dont give a damn about how it looks on TV. I dont think it makes us look like vulgar fools either, just creative.

NO, PEOPLE- IT'S NOT "FUNNY". It's an organized effort to tell the entire nation how stupid you are....
This is completely wrong. "Suck that tiger dick, bitch" is fricking hilarious. Every time Neck is played I hear other students around me yelling at us not to say it either (because they dont want the song to be taken away), but I'm there to have fun, not to be censored by some assholes who think they know whats best for LSU when in fact it probably doesnt have any kind of effect on the program or university.

We just beat 'bama' and the tide wobbled back to Tuscaloosa. This thread is a discrace. You should direct your delicate emotions elsewhere. Maybe go and watch The Notebook? Death Valley is not for the weak at heart.

You're still missing the point, but whatever. It's not going to stop, deal with it. It will not stop until students are banned, and that will NEVER happen. Keep pissing into the wind. It's doing a lot

You make my point more eloquently that I could about the type of people that would defend this crap.

Just dont put it all on the students. Like i said, the most important fans(TAF) were saying it too.

Please provide solid evidence of how it measurably hurts the university in any tangible way. Your opinion does not suffice.

I understand what your saying, it is a horrible thing for a child to hear... but i think the point everyone is trying to make is that its not going to change and if you dont like your child to hear it dont bring them to the game, because in a venue with 92000 people they are going to hear some vulgar things espically the way the offense was playing... take it for what its worth

Well, sure you would.

Thanks for proving our point.

While you're "a student" do yourself a favor and learn the difference between creativity and stupidity.

Y'all seriously need to get over this. I never say it, but it's not really that big of a deal. Would using "penis" and "female dog" instead make you happy?

Here is my problem...I don't think anyone would dispute the vulgarity of that chant. The university has asked the students if they would please not do that, which is well within their rights and not an unreasonable request. Why can't they just stop? I would hope the banning of one popular song would have been a good enough lesson.

As far as I can remember, the University hasn't said anything in regards to Neck. I honestly think they're just turning their cheek on this one. If they wanted to ban it, it would have been gone after the Tennessee game.

I really cant believe you pulled thatcard out on this board. we were all students at some point but pls tell me your parents raised you better than that. its till wrong and vulgar...bitch

You were doing good, and then you went with "bitch."

I don't cheer it because it's vulgar. I defend their right to say it because you can't censor the student section and people in general at a public event without MAJOR issues.

So, say what you want, but the fact that you had to argue a "omg you're so horrible your parents must've raised you better" argument and end it with vulgarity is ironic and stupid...at its best.

I surely hope your parents taught YOU better.

Prove it.
But seriously, if anything, it adds to the atmosphere of the stadium. It creates, along with many many other things, a unique gameday atmosphere which in turn makes for more fun, craziness, and intimidation. THIS is why people go to football games and not just watch them on TV. THIS is a reason why people live and die with LSU football. I know it has been for all 19 years for me. I bleed purple and gold as I'm sure you do as well, but this is something that will never be retired. Not necessarily in the form of "suck that tiger dick, bitch" because no matter what it is that comes in to play, immature college kids like myself will always find a way to make "appropriate" things inappropriate.

Oh, dear! How could I ever hope to rebut such a savage wit and sound argument?

It was longer ago than I want to recall, but it seems like yesterday to me.
