Just search on youtube "Bama LSU 2014 1 hour"
I agree with all the points that you have made in this thread GeauxTigerTM, And since this penalty was called on Alexander (I think the call was horrible), I wonder why #57 for Bama wasn't flagged for a late hit on Fournette on the very next play. His forward progress was stopped at the 19 yard line, driven back by 3 or 4 Bama players, then 57 comes in and hits him around the 26 or 27 yard line. The whistle was blown, the play was dead, seems pretty cut and dried to me. If Vadal's shove was a penalty, this play was just as bad in my opinion.

im sure ill get insta banned, but you guys are forgetting one thing. there was lots of mutual shoving, but alexander is the only one shoving anybody after the whistle.

That's just straight up not correct. I literally posted the god damn video AND transcribed it. Nearly all of the shoving occurred as the many whistles were being blown to try and gain order. Vadal's shove that was reciprocating for Robinson's yanking on his leg was simply the last of them.

You ought to get banned for being stupid.

This is the first time I have actually seen that video.....how can the back judge after seeing all the pushing and shoving going on between the 2 teams isolate 1 LSU player in that sequence?

I honestly don't know given he did not flag the BAMA player who have shoved as whistles were being blown just prior as he came up to separate him and Gordon. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, he may have just looked up and seen the flop and assumed it was something outrageous.

That's why my frustration with this is with the rest of the crew who stood around with their dicks in the hands pretending they had not all been part of separating the pile just seconds earlier. where was Ritter or anyone else stepping up saying, "Yeah...it was a push but it was one of about 7 we didn't flag just now. either wave it or call it both ways...no reason to flag one here."

Jennings was clearly pleading that case, and they'd hear none of it.

Thankfully we can take this issue up with Steve Shaw at the SEC offices. Wait...

On that specific play there wasn't much shoving

Wrong. I could even see from the upper deck the pushing as soon as the pile stopped moving. Started with the defense on the running back.

Alexander shoves well after the play, and even if the ref saw 86 tugging gently on his leg,

I had an issue with that play as well, though for a different reason. To me, the play was not blown dead soon enough. He was clearly stopped, forward momentum was done and he was completely wrapped up. Why allow him to be stood up and gang tackled going back 10+ yards?

Listen to how long it takes the crew to blow a whistle here. Fournette is nearly 10 yards back before they blow it...before then all you're hearing is crowd noise.

I dunno...but I have a hunch that had they eventually stripped the ball after having him stopped cold and pushing him backwards for 10 yards before whistles were blown, the fumble would have stood.

I used to travel to 2 away games a year in the SEC.

Fayetteville was my last trip. Gets old spending your money in this conference. The bridge schedule put me over the top.

Now, I've decided my nine tickets will be 5 next year, and I'm sure time will come when home games won't seem to matter as much.

I know other people will just step up and fill in, but following this conference is disheartening when it comes to the appreciation of fair competition.

Regardless if Adams flopped or not. The opposing player still made unnecessary contact. He just drew attention to it. Alabama gets the calls and that's that. It was a no call in most normal people's eyes .

Yes, I believe your are right in thinking that. Alot of posters have called some of us "whiners" and said let it go, LSU got beat fair and square, the refs didn't affect the outcome of the game. The truth is, the refs did influence the end of the game and most of it favored bama.
