Au contraire. You opened that door when you called out your fellow fans.

Ah, so now we're playing the martyr, huh?

Don't worry. You're doing just fine on your own.

The fans who stay are more dedicated and make TS a better place. I wish everyone would show that dedication.

As I stated before, your noble ideals are duly noted. I'm sure we're all extremely impressed.

Everyone sees it except him. And when people call him out, he doesn't even have a logical argument to back up his claims. I think it's just time to leave this one alone. There's no point in arguing with a dolt

I never said that, honey. It would be different if it were a close game and people were leaving.

I was at the 08(?) LSU/Bama game when Bama was about to kick a field goal for the win. People in my row started leaving and I said, "Wait! It isn't over!"....they replied, "yes, it is". Whatta ya know Ricky Jean-Francios blocks it and we go to overtime! I'm sorry to say that these fans seem to be the norm not the exception. I couldn't believe it! They left!!! Of course, we ended up losing but so what. If you love the Tigers then love them through good or bad. Thanks for having a civil conversation about it though. I know how it gets here with the rantards.

Jacknut. It's not hypocritical to call out fans for leaving early if I have never left early. And I haven't. Not as a student. Not in a decade of owning season tickets. Not in a bowl game or a regular season game. Not in a win or a loss.

So there is no hypocrisy.

It would be hypocrisy if I were calling out fans for not attending all games and giving tickets to relatives instead. That would be hypocrisy. The English language is not your strong suit.

This issue of whether I attend all games is some red herring you concocted in an attempt to divert attention from the obvious proposition that fans who stay for the whole game are more dedicated than those who don't.

Finally, if I really wanted to, I could prove that attending four games from a thousand miles away takes just as much time and energy as attending eight in BR. It's a no brainer. The time and money to fly, the hotel rooms, the missed work, the mutiplie day trips, etc. But why bother? It has no bearing on the main point: which is that fans who leave early for no reason are lazy and undedicated.

And yeah, they are your tickets and you can do what you want with them. But then again, you could come to TS in a chicken outfit and read Sylvie Plath poems aloud. You could do it, but I would mock it. Just like I mock people who leave early to sit on their sofas and suck down KFC.

Deal with it.

idk either. Kinda makes me wonder though. I wouldn't think they would affect them that much as long as the fans are there for when it matters most

Well...I'm thinkin recruits have nothing better to do but stand around and take in all the sights and sounds...don't know what they do really. Anyway, if it looks bad to me (as an actual fan) then it must look bad to them. Even if the players are OK about it. Guess I shouldn't bring this up either but I absolutely can't stand booing, unless it's for the Refs!

Fair enough.

I'm mocking you for being a self-superior busybody who takes it upon himself to mock others over something that really doesn't affect him, and is really none of his business.

Deal with that.

Because that selfish attitude runs way too rampant these days. Why can't people realize that the actions they take DO affect others and it isn't about "just them"? It's a ME-ME world. Oh well, nothing we can do about it right? I wish there was but...

No, actually, it's also about those who choose not to attend the game, but somehow find moral superiority to criticize those who actually attend in person for leaving early. How you guys don't see the hypocrisy in that is mind boggling.

Well...guess I'm a hypocrite because I don't (can't) go to the games but I certainly wish the fans that do go would stay the entire time. Damn, this thread has not been good for me. So far I'm an admitted bitch and hypocrite. You can feel sorry for my husband now...

Really?

Perhaps I'm missing something here. How does my leaving Tiger Stadium with 5 minutes left in a 48-7 blowout affect you? I'm really curious to know.

Check out the CBS replay. A lot of overhead shots. Stadium was half empty with about 9 or 10 minutes to go. That one aggravating strip in the eastern top of the NEZ was empty by the end of the third.

Considering you watched it on TV, you do a lot of bitching about fans that actually went to the game.
