Bama quick off the snap

There was a thread about this yesterday
Alabama seemed to be halfway across the LOS as we snapped the ball. Never called for offsides. I honestly think they figured out some tell on our snap count or something.
It was insane.

I counted like 8 of those snaps. I couldn’t figure out if they were a sec before the snap or our online was slow getting to them.

Those ends definitely had our snap count figured out. I literally said the same thing.

They had our snap count DOWN. Especially Jennings, they got such good jumps that it made them look off sides but they never actually were

Old drag racing trick with an arm drop. When you see the shoulders flinch take off. Same can be done with the way all the teams have gone to the clap.
When you hear the clap take off, the minimal delay between the clap, and center snapping the ball on most plays would be unnoticed by the refs. When you know a team is wanting to run tempo, you know there will be little delay from the clap to the snap.

they don't have a tell on us they're just quick as frick and playing at home so the refs are letting it go. all you can do is know they're coming early and use that against them, g d what an asskicking the O line laid down on those Bama goons

Bama had its moments on snap count anticipation.
But I think one area of the game not mentioned enough is the improved play of both the offensive and defensive lines.
In the past, it was mentioned quite a bit how Bama had dominated the trenches on both sides of the football. This was not the case on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.

Sometimes I don't think the hurry up helps. they see us hurrying up so they know as soon as we get to the line we are going to snap it so they're ready right then. It literally f****** almost never works

Not so fast my friend. There were at least 2 times I replayed in slow motion that the Bama DE was 2 feet across the LOS. Refs blew this and Ed should have been in their ear about it. It was a tactic that worked for them and messed up our OL blocking for sure...

I really think they found a quirk that the center uses just before he snaps. He moves his head, wiggles his fingers, dips his knees. There is a tell in there for them to be that quick

Our defensive line played good for a half. Bama blew them away in the second half.
We will have to outscore Georgia in Atlanta. Nothing new.

I actually thought Bama whipped us at the point of attack quite often and got pretty good pressure on Borrow. The difference was this year we had a much better scheme get the ball out quickly in the passing game, CEH made people miss at an behind the line of scrimmage all day and Burrow turned some would be sacks into positive plays several times. they still did get 5 sacks I think.
On the other side the defense gave up more than it did last year and their back creased us pretty good in the second half and had some holes. So I honestly didn't see that big a leap at least in regard to line vs line against Bama. We were a bit better they were not quite as good as last year, but again, much better offensive scheme and our playmakers made plays this year.

Maybe let center snap it at some predetermined time so we stay in sync and they jump offsides badly

O line played pretty good despite the 5 sacks. D line still seems to have trouble getting to the QB imo

YOu can tell that their game plan was to disrupt Joe, noise didn’t help either. LSU is battle tested and ready for any game down the road.

I think they had to snap count figured but there was a few that could’ve been calling all sides to. just like to no call pass interference on Chase when the DB grab the back of the shoulder pads Which would’ve been another touchdown

Yep - bunch of people watching game with us said the same thing. Must have picked up on something right before the snap. Saw their outside DL looking right down the line at our center and jumping quick

Maybe, the couple or three times I saw it and watched the replay, they just timed the snap perfectly. I think there is something to paying attention to Joe's handclap and the snap and maybe we didn't deviate from that. I didn't see any real offsides on these but I may be wrong. It's very possible, and in that sense, you're right in that O should have been all over the officials about it. But, if that's the case, none of the coaches in the booth noticed it to tell O?
