Any Oline would look exceptional when the refs won't call you for holding

what would you think about coming out with 3 and 4 wide looks?
max protect to start I would imagine. The wrs need to fricking catch, they are definitely an advantage.

I don't think the oline can hold the pocket long enough, especially if we can't run.

Lee can do it, hopefully the oline will be rested

Since the net resultant defenses are about the same overall, and the special teams are likely to be a wash, the game could come down to which team is able to grind out the running game the best. Since the RB's are about a wash also, that points to the Oline.

Just looked at the week 5 stats for the FBS division. LSU has one more pic that Bama and two more sacks than Bama. Offensively Bama is gaining about 60yds a game more on offense but has only scored 2 more total points. The offense difference is split about equal in rushing and passing. The big difference is that LSU has played on the road three times and Bama has played FOUR home games (include two patsies). If it wasnt for Trent Richardson I would not have the high respect for Bama that I have. Help yourself with that info.

Thats what i was getting at... if there's a matchup i like, its our WRs vs their secondary instead of our Oline-RBs against their LBers.

get them smaller and further off the line, and perhaps JJ has some room.

We had trouble running against Kentucky. I don't care about the time of the game and all that Not being UP for them and all that blah, blah shite. We should have run the ball for at least 250 against Kentucky.

I think you put your finger on it. I think the difference is that the 'Bama O-line at this point looks better. Much depends on the LSU D line.

If LSU cannot stop the 'Bama run, it will be a long day.

it was pathetic. The past 2 games ware has not done shite really. It's pissing me off. He needs to pick up his fricking game pronto.

I dont want to hear about hamstrings and shite either.

agreed. Make McCarron beat you. Tackle Trent and Lacy. I agree with the poster who said we may need JJ to win this game.

I have seen NOTHING different in the running game as far as misdirection or anything that will fool FLA much less Bama. They have been able to get away with using brute force. But that will only take you so far without some imagination. IMO.

If we don't pick it up, it's just going to get harder and harder. Hopefully this weekend we see more then a wrinkle. I hate to say it, but the option with shepard or ware would be pretty sweet and hard to defend

This is what bothers me, I know Miles wanted to simplify the offense but it is getting to simple. We will not be able to over power Florida on every play much less Bama. He needs to open it up more and I think having JJ back will help.

Bama held Florida to 15 yards rushing, when they averaged 200+.

that spread//quick rb's don't work against teams like lsu and bama...you need power backs....you do know that was with a lot of sacks also.

After watching Trent Richarson several times, I can't in good conscience say that the running backs are a wash. He's the best I've seen this year - even better than Mark Ingram was.

I'm afraid Trent is who the Saints thought they were trading up to get in the draft.

My suspicion is that The Hat is only rolling out as much of the playbook as he needs to. I believe he is hiding those tendencies from UF and Bama.... IMO
