At least they won't be the majority in our own house this time. (Something would REALLY be wrong in that case. Again.)

Ought to be a good game as most of them are....looking forward to being there like I normally am. There's nothing like the atmosphere at Tiger Stadium for a night game :) Geaux Tigers & Roll Tide!

Maybe, if yall will have only lost one game, and if the teams that yall move behind all lose. Its not like we just automatically got a rematch. Some crazy, wacky shite had to happen for us to even get a chance, and literally everything fell into place. You could call it fate.

Are you freaking kidding ME? Bama dropped from #2 to #3 and one team in front of you lost. What crazy, wacky shite happend??

Stanford, Oregon, Ok. State, Oklahoma, and Boise State all had to lose one of their last three games for us to even be considered. All of that happened, which was very, very unlikely at the time. Its really not that hard to comprehend...

Do you really think the media would have let Boise get in ahead of Bama, even if they hadn't lost? I doubt it.

Don't worry...Just like some of our "fans" did for the NCG, they will find Bama fans to sell their tickets to and make a profit. Bama fans will be there in great numbers, and we will hear "21-0" all day long until the game begins, and during it, and after it, regardless of what happens this fall.

Not only Boise. Since the new "eyeball" test can nullify all other factors I believe many voters would've voted Bama ahead of several other undefeated or one-loss teams, probably putting Bama in the 'ship anyway.

I think that this would have been the perfect year for Boise to get in had they not lost, yes.

What r the odds that bama fans will get pelted with lipton teabags?

They'll be fortunate if that's the worst thing they're pelted with. The football beatdown could be far worse.

I'm serious as a heart attack. If matching the two best teams is all that matters, supposedly, then what's so hard to understand? Many suck-up voters would've simply said Bama's second best, especially with their great loss (another new factor to help Bama).

Laugh all you want 'cause the joke's on us.

In the old days poll voting was completely subjective. The BCS supposedly made it more objective because they used various formulas, SOS, computers, etc. (It's bullshite too, but that's another argument.)

Enter last year's "eyeball" test, bringing us right back to complete subjectivity. When various commentators talked about SOS, stats, etc., Mark May and others simply said Bama looks like one of the best two teams even after it lost and when undefeated teams were still out there. Voters obviously felt similarly because Bama only dropped one spot after they lost, ahead of some still undefeated teams.

I'm trying to find better and more authoritative quotes but here's one to prove my point said by another:

"Troy Hyde, Iowa Hawkeyes Examiner: I have Alabama as my No. 2 team this week because I still think they are the second best team in the country and I think if they played LSU again in the national championship that they could win the game. Both of those teams are clearly the best two teams in the nation to me and I think the rankings should reflect no matter what the records say. The system is designed to put the two best teams in the country in the title game, but right now, we like to put the two teams that have not lost – or in this year’s case, put two teams that haven’t lost in there and leave the other teams that haven’t lost out for reasons no one knows. I think we need a playoff more and more each year and this is why."

LINK

Still laughing? If some voters continued to feel this way there was nothing to prevent them from voting Bama into the 'ship with undefeated teams still out there, and I for one believe many would've done just that.
