They are an SEC team. I will lean towards any and all SEC teams. Because the league collectively benefits both in revenue and notoriety.

Saints root for the Falcons?
Lakers root for the Celtics?
Red Sox root for the Yankees?
Ohio State root for Michigan?
Therefore, LSU WILL NOT ROOT FOR BAMA!!!!

Well that goes without saying but Since you mentioned it, yes obviously it should be Washington first then Michigan.
We’re assuming it’s Bama vs Texas for the natty here. I’m talking about fans of other SEC teams that root for Bama because it’s SEC. It’s so lame

I have lived in Texas for 25 years since I graduated from Florida. I work with numerous aggies, am friends with aggies in my neighborhood and from church, and now my oldest kid is a freshman at A&M. And I can assure you that none of them are ever "rooting" for Bama. I'm not sure where that talk on here comes from, because it sure isn't real life where I live. Now, if they had to choose who they'd prefer to win in a Bama-Texas match-up, then they pick Bama. But, that's just picking the lesser of two evils in their minds.

Them losing to Bama makes no difference as to whether they have a chance to win it all next year or the next 10 years.
Screw Bama, their players AND their fans. They got another mulligan. If Texas starts getting mulligan after mulligan and Bama-type calls for the next 15 years I’ll hate them too but for now, Hook ‘Em.

both are blueblood programs...
I don't care what people say, the SEC is the best and deepest and now it's going to be even deeper...
I think the 12 team playoffs are just going to end up being a big SEC showdown...

I’m rooting for Texas for obvious reasons. And I go for LSU over them if they are in the picture.
But I always leaned to sec winning. If sec didn’t win all of these championships we wouldn’t have the favoritism like we do.
