People are forgetting one HUGE thing. They are a power run team, not a spread. That literally takes away almost all running options. They may throw a few wrinkles of zone read and shotgun in, but they are gonna do what they are gonna do. Wiscy's qb situation sounds very dicey at best

I may be proven wrong but I think the more experienced Stave would have far better success than McEvoy. LSU's D will feast on this guy especially if he has to put the ball in the air!
I'm thinking a Nick Marshall performance from last year's Auburn game might be in store for Wisconsin.

So, a very poor man's Auburn? I like the way that sounds.

I pray this happens, start the guy with less experience against Chavis.

Less experience and not as good of a passer. McEvoy was throwing a lot of interceptions during practices.

Did they see what Chavis did to Texas A&M? Your funeral, Wisconsin.

There is some chatter that Stave got hurt. That could be why McEvoy will be the QB.

He is the exact build of QB we have struggled with (Cam, Matt Jones, Wallace, etc.) We tend to do better with the Johnny Football, Tyshawn Taylor, Nick Marshall, etc. Should make for a good matchup.

Why you gotta do that to me? One of the most sickening games EVER in 02.

None of that makes him a good QB.

Jones was also 4-16 that game so we can only hope Wiscy's QB plays exactly like that.

Well, at least they will have a good excuse for the beatdown.

Looks like the new coach maybe implementing his offense over the power run game their previous two coaches ran.

Either that, or they see no way they can score many points with Stave.

Or they are screwing with Chavis.

I'm guessing that like us they maybe playing two QB's, but unlike us with completely different skill sets.

This means they'll pass even less than normal. Reports here in madison are Mcevoy has accuracy issues. And wisconsin isn't all power running anymore. More misderection than in the past.

If they were trying to screw with us, they'd have named Stave the starter, then played McEvoy instead.

Good point Fishhead, but they might be naming McEnvoy the starter and then starting Stave, making Chief have to have a plan against the dual threat, taking time away from the power run game. Simply a chess game.

Cool so we are going against last years starting safety.

I think this BS to mess with Chief....like they will go with someone who was playing Safety last year, vs a guy that would be in his third year starting. It says sources "expect" him to start, not that he will for sure start (And I'd like to hear their coach confirm it)...and this is ironically after Miles said we may play two QB's. I think they are just fn with Chavis
