I think Brennan is capable but the one thing he needs to take and learn from Burrow is the way Burrow is commanding the huddle, the team and the offense.

I know he's had to sit for going on three years now but you are a year away from this being your team and your offense. He needs to start acting like it even if it's only in mop up duty. With the blowouts he's getting a lot more time than anyone probably ever envisioned this year so far. I can easily see him getting extended playing time against the likes of Utah St and possibly against teams like Ole Miss and Ark if those games get out of hand like Vandy. Go out there and show a little bit of authority on the field as O is letting you throw it around a little bit even with big leads.

Yeah I'm not the least bit worried about Brennan, Red.

No, the whole year

he is 16-25 that is 62%. QB's, more than any other position, need live reps. He has looked really good and he has looked like a back up. I really don't understand how some of you can make these judgements based on such a small sample size of actual playing time. JB was labeled as being inaccurate last year...now look at him.

Are you an 00 tech altar? he had a thread last night stating Brennan would NOT be the guy next year...looks like that thread was banned.

Then you shouldn't start dumb threads.

You Black Cloud Brigadiers are desperate. Complain about the weather if you must find something negative to whine about.

Brennan not quite as popular as other backup QBs in the past. Joe has done a great job, which, explains the bulk of it.
The balance of reasons might be his actual performance.

So, 99% of it is that Burrow is playing like a fricking Heisman frontrunner. Maybe 1% has anything to do with Brennan.

This is just fricking ridiculous. Brennan has gotten more reps than most backup qb's at lsu in a long time, outside of when we ran the 2 qb system. Joe hasn't played in a lot of second halves and fourth quarters, so Brennan has seen more game time than what we are use to seeing. Wtf are you even talking about? Do you expect Brennan to be as good as Burrow, especially with the backups? This is a mind blowing post.

Joe as the best QB in 9 years! Brennan will ever be a college qb! If Borrow goes down we are in a hell of a mess!

So you're saying we've progressed wherein the back up to the back up is our best option at back up?

Brennan will be fine.

Remember, it took Joe 9 games playing every snap for the light to come on. It was his 4th year. Since the Bama game, I'm not sure there has been anyone better at the QB position.

Brennan needs reps - plain and simple. He got almost none last year. I'm concerned about who will back him up next season. We'll have a RS freshamn and two true freshmen. Those two aren't exactly setting the world on fire as HS seniors.

We’re moving there at the end of the year. Took a job down here. Seems like a pretty nice little place.
