It’s pretty ridiculous. This same fan base saw Burrow go from above average to tGOAT and they are acting like Brennan can’t get any better after his first start

don’t know why he’s getting so much blame

he missed some throws but his wrs missed some catches too

he just needs to get rid of the ball quicker and quit relying on his feet

online got worked all game, that’s the biggest problem

You can’t coach an edge that’s the difference I see in Brennan and Burrow. Joe had fight in him and was tough as nails. I haven’t seen that fire yet in Myles. He doesn’t step up into the pocket and deliver a throw, he can’t sense backside pressure, he tries to scramble backward and sideways versus forward and he throws off his back foot far too much meaning wounded duck passes. He may come around but I’m very concerned. His stats were misleading because he failed the eye test badly. The only positive was he had better glimpses in the 2nd half but only glimpses.

These two are not even close to comparable. Burrow came into a new system with new WRs and a new coaching staff with no spring practice under his belt and he still showed glimpses at times.

Brennan has been here for 4 years and was well below average yesterday.

Relatively speaking Burrow was light years ahead even his first year. What most witnessed last night was insanely embarrassing. On both sides of the ball!!! LSU could not have beaten Southeastern, ULL or LA Tech! Thank goodness it was an SEC opponent! That is what makes Nick Saban , Nick Saban ! Year in and year out. Every freaking year. No matter how many players or coaches he loses. Think about how embarrassing that game was ; a first year head coach at MSU with a transfer quarterback from the PAC 10, no scrimmage and he lights LSU up for a SEC record breaking 623 yards passing. How do you let that happen at LSU. HOW DO YOU LET THAT HAPPEN COACH O!

One QB improving from his first start isn’t comparable to another? GTFOH

Brennan will likely improve, but it’s not going to be by much. Brennan’s ceiling is low.

The offensive game plan did him no favors. When they finally came out in the second half and started to run the ball, that relaxed things for him. He clearly did better in the 2nd half than the first. It was his first start against real competition and it was obvious putting the entire game plan on his shoulders was not realistic.

The first half the coaches just were hell bent on throwing the whole half with hardly any running. It made LSU very one dimensional with a new QB and most of the offense being first time starters.

I think he did well enough to win the game if not for the defense letting MSU throw it all over the field. Stingley was clearly missed yesterday. If he would have been in the game then one side of the field would have been locked down and the other side with youngsters could've worked together to keep their side controlled.

The offense took the lead back what, two or three times yesterday? Only to watch the defense let Costello throw for a TD in a handful of plays each time.

We were spoiled by the GOAT team last year, hardly anyone that was a starter from that team is left. It's better to lose a game early now, than later in the season. At least they can go only way from here, and that is up.

Yeah, I don’t understand all these posts saying Brennan isn’t the guy. He might not be but we really don’t know and quite frank, unless he gets injured, he’s who lsu has. So let’s ride.

People wanting to bench him after his first start and this performance aren't very smart.

I don’t want him benched. I just don’t have any expectation that we’ll see enough improvement to have a decent season. The fact that he is only backed by two freshmen is another issue.

Would be nice if the O Line game him just a little help as well. Gonna be hard to improve at all with no time to go through progressions.

The O Line was fine pass blocking. A lot of the sacks were due to Brennan holding the ball too long.

I don't want him benched per say. But I think he definitely needs a fire lit under his arse. Time for an open competition and a short leash.

So many of you already turning on this young man after a single start. No, he isn’t Joe Burrow... but I’ll remind you that Burrow wasn’t so hot after riding the bench for 3 years either. He said so himself.

Myles will improve and all of you bashing him will shamelessly be back on the bandwagon.

Many of us still support you Myles. Keep your head up!
Bashing him and pointing out his deficiencies are 2 different things. This isn’t about his feelings. This is about the expectations for a 4 year guy that
1. Threw for 16000+ yards in high school
2. Played in 6 games as a true freshman
3. Was an elite 11 QB with Tua
4. Played in 3 spring games and was expected to start in 2018.
The expectations should be very high for a 21 year old guy that has played against the national championship defense.

No excuse for “I gave it my all”. That is definitely what you do not want to hear from your leader.

The loss isn’t Myles fault but he has a long long way to go to get to the level of an elite QB. QBs at Ole Miss, Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Texas am and obviously miss st look better.

I, like every other Tiger fan, want the kid to succeed. But after watching him in clean up duty last year and after yesterday’s performance - it ain’t happening. I don’t blame him. The kids nervous as hell, won’t plant his feet, and lacks decision making. All of that is coachable.

Burrows was not King of the Hill his first year at LSU. People bitched about the great bowl game LSU had and why it was okay for starters to bail out.

Stop and think for a second. You think the HBC would give one flying frick about it being "His time" because he sat the bench for 4 years. NO. People like the HBC wanted to WIN and if he saw that his QB was not executing to his standards he would pull him and find someone that will. It is a ridiculous thought process to think seniority has anything to do with this. All I want to hear this week is that QB1 spot is up for grabs this week in practice and may the best man win.

If the coaches think that is Brenna so be it but being fed this "It's his time." garbage for weeks just reeks after that performance.

Kinda thought king who transfered to Miami from Houston wanted to transfer to LSU. Might have missed on the talent evaluation.

Brennan stuck around for 4 years because he knew he couldn’t play anywhere else
