outside of Poche and Lange we've don't have much. don't blame PM- it's a miracle we won so many with just two legitimate SEC arms. and the bats were silenced, which is the real story of this series.

Sure let's blame the 18-22 year old hitters for physical mistakes, not the 30 year veteran coach for making horrible in game mental mistakes. Sounds fair.

The coach gets credit or blame for everything. Poor player performance cost us both games, though. Four errors in game one needs no further expiation, and there was no salvation in LSU's bullpen last night. Probably CPM should have gone with Norman longer, but the game was lost by then anyway.
As I wrote in another thread, this CWS was lost in the fourth inning of game one when Poche air mailed those throws to first. It was just an unfortunate series of yips by a great player.

The arms are there. They have the stuff, they did not have the command and control. That is something that must improve. You can't walk or get behind good hitters and not expect to get burned. But this is something that can improve. I expect better things from Bain and Godfrey and next year, if not Allen Dunn deserves come criticism.

I put the lack of pitching on CPM absolutely. How does this program with a national reach in recruiting not have the most lights out pitching every year? It's like not having a quarterback or developing the ones you recruit. Miles doesn't get a pass so neither does CPM.

Those lights out guys are few and far between and despite what you may think, not everyone wants to go to LSU. The draft gets most of the top high school pitchers.

The series? We haven't scored shite since auburn game in sec tourney. Thought it was all javi's fault. Guess not.

all but Person, all of our arms are coming back next year. With Dunn developing the young pitchers I'm excited how good our pen will be next year.

I agree. Our pitchers' command and location was not very good yesterday.

You don't have a clue. Average arms? While I agree that some of those young pitchers need time to develop, to say that they have "average" ability is dumb. Most all of them throw in the 90s with movement. That ain't average.

Compared to Vandy and even TCU, they are just average.

LSU competes for top pitchers with schools in California, Texas, Florida, three of the largest, most talent-rich states in the U.S. Schools like Cal St-Fullerton, TCU, Texas A&M, Florida, Miami, Florida St., etc. It's a CREDIT to our program that we excel in a sport where so many other top schools recruit elite talent in their own back yards.
Expecting top 1, 2 or 3 pitching staffs year in and year out is unrealistic for just about anyone--including LSU.

Looked like to me that every pitcher that took the mound last night was intimidated and couldn't wait to get out of the game. I saw several of them looking in the bullpen and in the dugout!
