I'd hope we would, but with PM's track record, he's going to pull out all the stops to win each game, Ranaudo could be used in relief in that possible kent state game

I say give the ball to Bradshaw vs Kent St n an elimination game.

Could you imagine the meltdown if we are eliminated without Ranaudo pitching?

Hope Mainieri isn't faced with making that decision.

This just begs the question, was brought up a few times yesterday... If Ross doesnt get it done & we find ourself in the losers bracket vs Kent State, does PM have the stones to run Bradshaw or Joey B out there, or does he throw Ranaudo?

good view, i think you go with Bradshaw/Bertuccini/Joey B/ etc.. and trust your offense to knock Kent St around

Like another poster said yesterday, if we can't beat lowly Kent State, w/ whoever pitching, we don't deserve to advance

i think that if he does this and we're starting to lose that Ranaudo is out 1st reliever

I'd prob trust Rittiner against a team like Kent State, probably havent seen much like him all year, or Bourgeois because of velocity

I would go with Bradshaw with AR on stand by if things get hairy in the least bit.

Btw, what times are the winners and losers games on Saturday?

Yeah, that's what I thought. You don't know if the winners play at 4 or 8, do you?

Saturday winners play at 8pm;
I only know this because I'm having a birthday crawfish boil this weekend, and I'm banking on us playing the late game and will try the boil during that losers bracket game. Otherwise, I'll be stuck listening to hawthorne while boiling crawfish

I'm gonna preface this with I don't know much about the psychological aspect of sports.

So say Ross is taken out early and replaced with Ranaudo, would that screw up Ross's confidence for the rest of the post season?

Hard to tell honestly, at the beginning of the year when faced with adversity he melted, later this year, like the SEC tourney, when faced with it, he overcame it. Maybe he's maturing.

I guess alsup is an option too, but I think we'd need him and AR1 to climb out of the losers bracket. I say give the ball to Bradshaw vs Kent St n an elimination game.

I was thinking Alsup as well but after this past weekend's performance, I'd say Bradshaw would be a good option against Kent State. The games will dictate the pitching options and I would love to know the scenarios Manieri is going through in his head.
