As a 5th year player

I hope he kills it this year and gets drafted or makes a roster in the NFL

We’re all pulling for a kid with so much heart and passion for LSU football. I have faith his stock will rise after this season.

The first and most likely only Thread/Posts I'll ever Up Vote by the OP. (Too much of a squirrelly Pump Lump MA)

I think he’ll play guard in the nfl and have a hell of a career

I truly believe we’ve asked him to play out of position his entire career here but I’m thankful he was able to rise to the occasion

I have to think having his experience and fire back may be the best thing to happen to LSU football this year. Aside from Pelini being gone that is.

I really wish we have 2 guys step up at tackle and they try Deculus at RG in place of Hines. I think that would benefit his chances getting drafted so much more than an ok season at RT would. He could really shine playing inside and get himself drafted in the middle rounds.

You misevaluated both guys.

Hines is a very good guard and Deculus is a very good tackle. Folks saying that Dec should be a guard at the next level could be right, but his lack of foot speed and quickness will be a problem at guard, too. I question how well he’ll be able to pull.

I think Deculus will be drafted in the fifth or sixth round, will make a roster, and will have a decent career as a backup tackle/guard in the NFL.

Hines will be a starter in the NFL.
