auburn fans think auburn is going to blow out LSU

with good reason. We won't stop them unless they stop themselves. This will be the first game that Harris, if he is the quarterback will feel any amount of pressure. I seriously doubt we we'll be able to match auburn's scoring. The 8.5 is going to be good.

No way, no fricking way does Auburn win by that much. I'm betting big $$ for LSU to win straight up.

Yeah, we are not good up the gut. That said, it's not surprising...we knew that would be our weakness coming Into the season. Nobody thought that it would be this bad, though. Just gotta find a way to improve and on the Other side just put some points on the board to help the D through this transitional year. If we're gonna give up yards/points, we have no choice but to try and keep up and score along with the other team. In many ways it's a blessing that the D is average to truly get this young offense battle-tested and growing... If we want to win 8+ games, we gotta open it up and let the O do its thing...the young players on O will be better quicker, and once we get the D fixed then we could be a dangerous team later this year and certainly next year.

I do think we will see significant improvement on both sides of the ball as the season progresses. We shall see (fingers crossed)

It's not just dline though. Sure, they've been bad but the linebackers have been equally as awful in the run game.

The secondary is actually pretty damn talented when you look at them. I think the MSU game was just mostly blown coverages and is not a true indication as to how talented that secondary really is. I think we can sit with anyone in the country with secondary right now. Adams is going to be a STUD.

Clearly the oddsmakers are not as down on LSU as some of the fans.

Bama is overrated this year, but Ole Miss moreso. Tide Rolls.

MSU beats A&M straight up. Remember who said it first.

They played better last night. Granted it was against NMSU but for the most part they weren't taking bad angles. The one bad play for 79 yards was after the outcome had been long decided and those things happen at that point in a game.

Might be a blow out with our defense. Plus, if Miles thinks he is going to line up and pound it with 8 in the box, we are in for another Miss State type of evening

Auburn also lost some experienced defensive players last season and proved they could be slowed down against K-State. I like our chances provided they make the right decisions at the QB and MLB positions. A lot of our issues at this point are due to self-inflicted personnel decisions, IMO. The coaches just need to give the team a chance to compete. Based on his press conference, Miles appears to really like the position they're in compared to a week ago and he now has extensive film to back that feeling up. The most telling statement was that he would speak to Jennings in a couple of days to see how he is holding up and he expected him to work hard to get better (sounds like he moved on).

The test this week for Harris to see if the style of communication would work from the sideline and it did. He said he wanted to get up in the game before bringing Harris in to put him in a more comfortable position. We have the skill players and I think the defense is good enough. Looking forward to this one.

It's worth nothing; Ms State hadn't beaten LSU in 14 years; S. Payton owned the Falcons - and Dallas.
