Rightly or wrongly I am a Louisiana elitist. Hell with the SEC and its schools (sans LSU). We have our own culture, the most unique in the U.S.

It's painful but LSU is better off as long as the SEC 'mystique' is in place. If the BCS voters start to perceive that the SEC's conference schedule isn't as strong as, say, Big 10 or Pac 10, we can never get to the BCS championship unless we go undefeated and that's damn tough to do in the SEC.

Quit worrying about what if. If we win that is all that matters. Screw the rest of the SEC. Pull for your team. Auburn winning a championship does nothing good for us.

SEC teams still control their own destiny. Even Auburn, at a preseason 23 is now ranked 1 with the cheating allegations and everything. That's the use of the conference. I hope Auburn loses and Arkansas doesn't make the BCS.

We still control our own destiny precisely because we have done so well in the BCSCG and we need AU to continue that. As long as we have that national respect then yes, an SEC team can start at 23 and finish #1, no other conference currently has that option.

From the looks of it, about 90% of the Tiger nation hates Auburn enough to overcome SEC pride. Go somewhere else for your moral support Bama flamer!

This is such idiotic mentality. Why do you want to ride the coattails of another school's success in the name of faux conference 'fandom' supremacy? Do you think any FSU fan would ever root for Miami if they were ever in this situation, or Texas with OU?

Is it because LSU truly has no one true 'rival'? Or do you just feel the need to feel good about winning something by proxy? That's pretty weak-minded, if you ask me.

For those of us not in the region, it is incredibly fun to listen to friends/coworkers loyal to other conferences' teams admit SEC dominance. For this reason, I would not mind seeing Auburn win the whole damn thing. SEC strength also helps LSU in the perception department with pollsters (this cannot be denied), which we may need next year if we want to make a title run

But on the other hand, frick Auburn. Seriously.

Sounds like a win-win for me! Either way, I'll be on Saturday

Well I am pulling for Auburn since they have the only legitimate shot at keeping the BCS Trophy in the SEC.

Also I thought someone was innocent until proven guilty. I know many of us believe the facts point to wrong doing, but unless the NCAA says Auburn cheated I am going to pull for them to win.

Bottom line for me...they beat us fair and square. I am not bitter for the loss. We should have taken care of business. Championship teams always find a way to win and they have proven that more than once this season. Hell it's probably only fair since they got screwed a few years ago when they went undefeated. I'm not an Auburn fan, but I will be pulling for them.

Here is my take. I hope Auburn beats the cocks up and down, and then gets beat down by Oregon and next year Mettenburg throws for 5 touchdowns to slam the defending national champion ducks in Jerry's World. LSU 42 OU 17

I will not root for that dirty, corrupt program in Auburn. Never. And I don't want to see another season of college football ruined, with the Heisman and MNC being vacated again.

I know Reggie had to vacate the Heisman. But didn't Texas beat them in the NC game?? Just asking.

Auburn all the way. If they lose, we probably only get one BCS invite. If they win, we get two. Thats a whole lot of revenue sharing which means better facilities etc.

Regardless which SEC team, there's nothing like being able to talk shite about the SEC winning the last 4 National Championships to my co-workers. A 5th would be awesome.
