Thought it would have been more than that. A lot of empty seats in the upper deck?

it varies. They can actually remove big comfortable seats in lower sections and add smaller seats. They can go as high as 100K.

Thanks. I thought 100k was the number.

Fans make up a lot of the entertainment in football. You miss all of that in televised games. I've never watched TigerVision. Do they have advertising during timeouts, etc or do they stream the game without ads?

People often think it's 100k.. But it's not normally and that includes a ton of crappy sro tickets.

I could not find an empty seat in the place. Both sides of the upper deck was packed with purple and gold. I read that the stadium can expand from 80,000 to over 100,000 so I would guess they had about 85,000 seats in the place.

You are dead wrong. Every seat was sold, every seat was taken, and the place is configured for about 84K seats with about 3k SRO on attendance. I think 87k was about the same attendance as last year's Super Bowl. The 100k that you reference was the opening game with about 16k people who were let in on SRO. Fire marshals don't want that many people standing around any more.

It was a sellout. First game I have ever been to where no one was holding up tickets to sale.

i do think it was considered a sellout, but this, like everything is a technicality. We had 5 tickets in our suite that i did not offer out to anybody, as i did not want it to be too crowded. While those never had the option of being sold to the public, i had the option, up until kick off, to bring 5 more people in than we did. For the record, i am glad i did not as we had the perfect # of people...

There were 2 empty behind me and it looked like multiple empty luxury boxes on the LSU sideline.

It is hard to buy seats if they are not offered for sale.. You are a Big wheel with those extra tickets you ate. Does that make you feel important?

and to me, that is a total crock of shite that jones can even claim that 100,000 shite for that giants game .. he had almost 15K people that couldn't physically fit in the building that watched the giant HD screens outside the stadium .. how can you count someone that can't fit inside the stadium as attendance ?

not as important as calling somebody out on a message board for no apparent reason, to see if i can start trouble, but i can only aspire to things like that...
