Burrow will have a chance to prove himself. He plays against four QBs ranked higher than him this year.

They're sort of a tweener.

Maybe 5+? Did you include Lawrence?

Ehlinger over Fromm? Lol

Justin Fields at #8?.. Based on what, his HS recruiting ranking?

He may not even be the starter. They brought in the Kentucky transfer. Very questionable if Fields can throw the ball at the college level

Loosely. There's OU, Texas and a bunch of marginal teams.

Highest rated team in composite talent ratings outside of those two was TCU at 36 which is Duke/UK type recruiting. The only SEC team ranked lower than 36 was Vandy.

Someone should have told Tua, Fromm, Lock and Mond that they weren't supposed to play so well against SEC teams last season.

ETA: Kyle Shurmur as well

If UGA would've stuck with Fields & Holyfield, they would've stomped LSU this past year.

My bad. Skipped over Mond. Burrow goes head to head against 5 QBs ranked higher than him.

All that scrub time vs Austin Peay, MTSU and UMass sure looked good.

Idk if you remember the actual game but Holyfield was running all over us.

I still don’t think they would have won, but they looked better on offense running the ball with those two.

They also don't account for average RBs that are supposed to be your strength, mind-blowing amount of drops, and a porous O-Line

It’s well documented that O called up to Aranda and they adjusted the Dline formation, which shut Holyfield down. UGA didn’t just go away from him, LSU adjusted

Kirby said Aranda made necessary adjustments, which is why they stopped going to Holyfield.

I was actually referring to how effective they were when UGA played LSU. Fields & Holyfield were the only ones LSU couldn't stop.

LSU knew going into the season this would be a weakness.

This is the only remotely accurate excuse. Burrow did get sacked more than any other SEC QB.

Fields had one carry for three yards, and no passes.

What am I missing here?

When they ran the option with Fields, there were massive holes to run through. If UGA would've switched to that instead of sticking to a one-dimensional Fromm, LSU wouldn't have been able to keep up. That's why you had a RB who runs a nearly a 4.8 40 averaging 8 yards per carry against LSU's defense.
