I love Athens it's so fun. When ole miss played at Georgia it was one of the best times I have had.
Try to find a hotel that's close to downtown.
Bars- The Bury, Beauregards, Cloud,Silver Dollar. Most of the bars are fun.

If you're an assman and you're not in Rio de Janeiro, the second best place to be is Atlanta, GA.

Awesome bump guys, I am still looking to gather information on this trip.
Our initial thoughts are flying up to ATL on Friday, spending the night in Athens, eat mingle and get a feel for the city before the game Sat.
Wake up hit the game(guessing it will be a 2:30 CBS Game). Then Celebrate after a Tigers win!
After reading through this thread it almost makes me want to try and see about Staying in ATL the Friday night and somehow getting out to Athens EARLY Saturday morning. What would be the best way to go about transportation??

What is the taxi availability if staying in Athens, but on the other side of downtown?

Food: East West Bistro
Best place to eat in all of Athens
One of the chefs is an LSU grad from Baton Rouge too

Alright...Gonna give this thread a little bump!!
We're flying into ATL on Friday. Looking to find a good spot to eat either in ATL or on the way to Athens. Any "must stop" kind of places?? Also what would be a good spot to eat the Friday night before the game to soak up some of the atmosphere? Should be a good time!! Was upset UGA lost this past weekend, hopefully they can pull it together for this weekend against USCe..
