I’m sure this has been said but people who will now have to find a hotel or just not go to the game with the 11:00 am kickoff are getting screwed ! It’s the Saturday Night in DeathValley not Saturday morning.

so they will need a hotel room for Friday night and not Saturday night? I really think yall are being dramatic with how many people will be affected by a game starting 7 hours early

Just move the SEC office to Nashville. Problem solved.

Not happening. First, the SEC has standing contracts with the various networks. There is a pecking order within the networks as to who chooses first and then in descending otder.

LSU is going nowhere. The SEC has the money.

No conspiracy. Just the way it is if we want the TV network's money and we do need the money.

Besides Vandy and Utah St are a long ways from being sex games. Not sure if the rule is in the most recent contract, but there was a time that no SEC team could be in the early slot more than twice in a regular season.

i would wanna leave the sec after winning it.

if we win the sec this year, frick em and move to b12, save that fricking conf.

we'll just play two real games a year against texas and ou. 3 way round robin for a playoff spot. tell em to grab byu for football and make it 12 teams, or just bring arky or mizzou along.

Agreed. I have complained about the cross division setup since it began. It is absolutely stacked in Bama's favor.

The SEC contracts with CBS and ESPN are up in 3 years. The next contracts, no matter whom they are with, are expected to dwarf the current contracts. Each member institution is going to swimming in $$$$$. Schools won’t be leaving. Schools will probably be trying to get in.

I think this would work only if Texas A&M, along with Arky and Mizzou came along with LSU. You could have a 7 team Big 12-East and Big 12 West, LSU would be in the West with say Arky, Texas A&M, Mizzou, TCU, Texas Tech and say West Virginia. OU, Texas Ok. State, Iowa State, Baylor and the KU and KSU in the East. Have 1 permanent cross over and rotate the other 6, 2, 2, 2, etc every year so you play 2 in year 1 and play them again in year 4.

However, LSU going to the Big 12 with Texas A&M in the SEC footprint, not a good strategic move. Next, as the poster noted below, the CBS and ESPN contracts are coming up again in 3 years. I think those contracts are going to dwarf the current ones. So Economically, I am not sure LSU could leave for the Big 12, even if Arky, MIZZOU and Texas A&M agreed to go with them given the $$$$ being left on the table.

ACC would be fun.

That would suck and be about 1000 times less fun than the SEC.
