I like the poster who said that the last time we played Texas Tech, the next year we won the national title with an eventually Heisman Trophy winner (although Cannon didn't win it the same year).

The Texas Tech football team’s next stop is the Texas Bowl — not to face an old rival, but a marquee program the Red Raiders haven’t encountered in more than a half century.

think their fan base like many others havent watched LSU the past 4 years. They're going to be surprised at how they look IMO.

Unfortunately, this is true. They're gonna have so much confidence after they beat/almost beat us. I can't remember the last time a team didn't walk away from LSU with head held high.

Here is what blows my mind. The entire country thinks we are an elite, marquee program. That's an important perception, whether you agree or not. The biggest group of people trying to change that perception are supposed LSU fans. How stupid do you have to be to put forth any kind of effort to convince people that we aren't a marquee program? That perception is essential in attracting money, recruits, and elite coaches when the time comes to need them.

It blows my mind the zeal with this group to destroy that perception. And they think it helps.

A good friend of mine is a Rump Raider and going to the game with me. He and all the Tech people I know have always had good things to say about LSU. From what he tells me, there's several active people on their boards that follow and pull for LSU. They have really been high on LSU the last few years because of us owning A&M.

Mahomes is legit, the kid can flat out ball. I think he will struggle more with the athletes LSU has, he's not accustomed to playing that kind of talent. I also do think they have the O line to contain our guys and they will get a lot of pressure on him.

Special teams will be interesting. We have struggled there and they have a kid that's a burner. Think Trindon Holiday fast.
