Come on. At no point was his head turned more than 45 degrees relative to his shoulders.

Rule: Once a team snaps the ball, the previous play can no longer be reviewed.

The only time I’ve ever seen a team snap the ball, and then, more than halfway through the play, the refs blow it dead to review the previous play involved one certain team. The review would have benefitted that team (I don’t recall the results of the review).

Now this wasn’t “the ref signaling time out as the ball was being snapped”. The play was well underway, and then the refs stopped it so Alabama could have the previous play reviewed.

Bama still would have had the ball. Just take a knee and the game is over.

Holy shite, I'm not saying he didn't. Just that it was hard for the official to see. Also, the angle from behind made it seem like a difficult call to make.

It should make your blood boil. And, hopefully everyone is angry enough to pack that Stadium on Nov. 3 and yell, boo, scream, holler the entire game, regardless of score. When the refs miss a call, let them know it louder than you ever have before. The Evil Empire that is known as Alabama needs to go down!

Excellent, indisputable video evidence of Bama’s dirty play and the refs totally ignoring it.

Dead on right. Bama is quickly becoming a drag on college football.

look lady, I'm saying if every camera caught how did not one official see it on the field of the guy who has the ball? Practically impossible.

Oh look, there’s dick, I mean speckhead. GFY

It’s obvious they are coached to tackle crown first, since the staff know their cousins in the striped shirts aren’t going to call anything, and it increases the chances of knocking the other team’s players out of the game. Meanwhile, any star player on a team with Bama on the schedule next better not plan on making any tackles, even a sneeze will get them DQ-ed

The Petition guy needs to make a new petition demanding neutral officials, including replay review, be brought in for this game.

Every tweet @SECherbvin with that demand.

We can bitch about it, or we can demand neutrality.

Either screened (like the ref in the backfield), or not looking at the ballcarrier.

actually, if the unsportsmanlike is called while the 4th down play is still live, then Tennessee retains possession. Ball is advanced 15 yard and there is one untimed down.

if it’s called after the play is dead...well it wouldn’t because game is over, but...then it would be Bama ball, lose 15yds, etc.

They said after the game that it would have stayed Bama's ball.

WHAT????

The default call if the ref is not in line to see an interception is to call it an incompletion????? How frickin stupid is that? So if a ref doesn't see where a guys knee went down you have to go back to the previous line of scrimmage??
Here's a clue. The ball is in his hands and has not hit the ground. You then have to prove he DID NOT have his feet in bounds. So you go to a review!! And surprise! His feet are obviously in! But it's Bama and they are about to lose so rule it incomplete and say you couldn't see crap.

You can clearly see that #3 for LSU is blocking the view of the referee. He's directly between the referee and PP during a split second play. That's why he was unable to make the call.

The other ref is about 15-20 yards behind them, and he couldn't tell when he got possession. The default call in that scenario is "incomplete".

There is no good explanation for why it was missed on review.
