re: As The Tide Rolls...The Bama Bias Saga

Yes Bama is insanely talented and Saban is the GOAT. All the more reason for nobody to cheat for them or give them the benefit of the doubt where others dont get it. All the more reason for the playing field to be level in all other respects.
This is many LSU fans' major point of contention, right here. WHY MUST AlaBama cheat? WHY MUST the SEC encourage it? The examples are too egregious to deny, yet thousands of Tide fans do it, and gleefully. Sad.

Would love to see the house Tua's family moved into. Rent or own? I just searched Tagovailoa in the online records of the Tuscaloosa County Tax Assessor and found nothing. I don't mean to make assumptions about his family and their finances, just curious.
ETA: Upon I-59 Tigers clarification, I searched the Shelby County Tax Assessor online database. No records found. No real property in Tuscaloosa or Shelby County assessed to Tagovailoa. Maybe they're just renting or maybe their property is assessed under a different name.

So we still can't have an actual conversation?
Not if you’re going to act like the fact that Bama consistently get the lion’s share of the calls is just a product of unfortunate events. Whether you want to admit it or not, there have been clear and multiple cases shown where Bama continues to get an exorbitant amount of favorable calls compared to their competition.
Secondly, if you honestly believe that the SEC offices being located in Birmingham and is filled with Bama grads and fans that live in the area, and the fact that schedule makers and the head of officiating were Bama grads isn’t a legitimate and recognized asset by the University of Alabama, then there really is no reason to even start a conversation.

They live in Shelby County. Brother goes to Thompson High which is Alabaster.

I don't know I'd call it "cheating", but I don't think the defense is allowed to do anything that simulates the QBs snap call.

Sure thing, as long as you can agree to not immediately jump to the conclusion that there is a bias on every missed call.

I would trade a National Championship for the following to happen:
1. Continued talk about the bama reffing bias leading up to the game from national media. A gameday segment from Kirk on it. And a whole bunch of signs drawing attention to it.
**maybe a prominent sign with a web site to visit to view a lot of the above
2. An egregious, absolutely terrible call, in bama's favor during the game. So obvious commentators have to point it out.
3. LSU wins

No. Tennessee would get another play.

Because Alabama blocked and recovered the ball, Alabama had possession. The game can't end on a defensive penalty, but because of the possession change, Alabama wasn't on defense. We'll let SEC spokesman Charles Bloom take it from here.
"The foul for taking helmet off is a live ball foul treated as a dead-ball foul," Bloom wrote in an e-mail Saturday night. "That is, if it happens on a play where time does not expire then the penalty is enforced on the following play. However since the clock ran out on that play, then there is no next play, so there is no penalty to mark off."
It would have been Alabama's ball, with no time left on the clock, and the game would be over.

of all the questionable calls in SEC history, Cody removing his helmet with a second or two still on the clock is maybe #175 on my top 100.

So he intentionally committed an act to give his team an advantage hoping not to get caught (go figure he didn’t get caught) and the said act is a penalty....what else would you call that? Does rule breaking sound better for you since it fits your narrative.
Can I begin a petition to have pvilleguru banned from posting please??? Starting to really piss me off reading his dumb shite

I'm going to try this once again. Give it up pvilleguru. Nothing you can dig up will help. Please post some more penalty stats. We could all use a little refresher..

I have never posted penalty stats and have repeatedly said they don't matter.

Way to reframe the argument. Nobody is saying there aren’t missed calls in every game. What they are saying, however, is there is a legitimate trend of Bama getting the benefit of missed calls a lot more frequently, regardless of who they play.

Can’t imagine why you would feel that way....

And the TIMING of the calls in BAMA’S favor is a big issue.

Because I think you can make stats say whatever you want depending on how you state them. I don't think penalty stats by themselves tell the whole story, so I don't use them and don't refer to them.
