I also think playing Army in a bowl game is an absolutely horrible idea. Your D-line gets cut the entire game and you are playing against an offense you are never going to see again.

Has LSU ever played Army, Navy or Air Force? I don't remember such a game.

That would be a FANTASTIC matchup. Wouldn't it be at Jerry's World in Arlington?

ESPN has LSU against ULL in Birmingham.

ULL doesn't want that. They may think they want it but they don't. A healthy rest and motivated LSU would destroy ULL.

Maybe. We have an indication already that ULL can't hold up to a mediocre P5 school when they were blasted earlier by Texas.

Why even have projections when the real thing will be announced in 4-5 days?

the Indy bowl. I think that would be awesome for Shreveport and North Louisiana. BYU would be a great match up and the atmosphere would be great.

On paper it looks good but in reality, the independence bowl itself is a total dump. Shreveport is so shitty. It’s different if the stadium itself is nice so the game is enjoyable and I can get past the whole Shreveport aspect if that were the case.

Hell Birmingham even got a brand new stadium. That bowl game would be more pleasant honestly.

Shreveport, particularly the area around Independence Stadium in Ingleside/ Queensborough, has turned really crimey & grimy in recent times. The city seems to have turned to primitive, self-destructive behavior these days.

I remember back in the 1990s when we played there it was pretty decent, and the games were a delight, in spite of the less-than-clement weather conditions . Wha happened?
