Which is exactly what I said in my assessment. He could start for some top 25 teams. He can take over games against average and some above average teams, but he won't do it against great teams.

He could be playing for Gamecocks or Clemson if he had weighed 185 out of high school.

SC QBs

Smelley - 216lbs
Beecher - 227lbs

Clemson QBs

Harper - 220lbs
Korn - 215lbs

Thats an average of 34.5lbs bigger than Edwards today.. Im not so sure about that.

APP is NOT traditional 1AA team. We are 12-0 over the last 3 years in the playoffs.

13-0 by a miracle fumble. You and I both know you guys had no business winning that JMU game last year. NONE. ZERO.

Yes we did, we had to get nasty - its not like he handed the ball to us, WE FORCED THE FUMBLE

you sound bitter, JMU fan?

i'm not sure either But we will never know.

I like what we have in AE.

225 lbs may slow him down too much

200 or 205 like he will be in 2009 will be awesome !!!!!

You can thank the coach for not running the clock out. That was the biggest boneheaded call I've ever seen in my life and it gave you guys the game.

Maybe, but our Backup QB/WR brother(similar style/body) is going to SC this year as a QB, will likely redshirt

Not hardly. But I do think we would've matched up better against App St than we did E. Washington.

haha. just like we had no business winning against michigan at the last seconds or furman at the last seconds.

luck repeated over time = skill.

app has made a legacy of making big plays to win games. at some point it stops being a coincidence

Im gonna go out on a limb and say AE wouldnt hurt Chad Jones if the two collided. Maybe thats just me though

Hopefully. Our schedule is a little tougher than last year. I think we'll be in the playoffs, b ut opening up on the road.

Actually, App. St. and McNeese had open dates on the same day this year but I don't think a home and home could be agreed upon. I forgot the specific rumors.

So you are telling me that a LSU fan watched the game against JMU? Is that allowed?

The question is "How good is Armanti"?
The answer is very good. Whether or not you feel Michigan is a top tier team, or got caught sleeping against App yet had the athletes to beat Florida at the end of the year I think speaks to Armanti's comparative ability to "show out" against top competition. The key though is that his speed and lack of a bruiser body (like Tebow) is ideally suited to a spread offense. If we were running any other offense I'm not sure he would be near as effective.
I do believe he is better than either of LSU's QB's this year at this point, not better than RP though.

He is very good in I-AA. He is only slightly above average for a good BCS team.

I would hope so - none of them played.

Well, considering you're an ASU fan whose username is Armanti Edwards, I'd say you're quite biased.
