d-line will be much deeper than 07's. fact.

stopping the run will not be the deciding factor of this game for the defense.

I've read some of your posts and you don't know your arse from a hole in the ground.

I agree that heat is going to be huge in the depth roster. I'm sure that Les is planning on running the ball down our throats to wear out the D-line and keep our secondary honest to open up the long balls. However we have more skill in the middle to help push the LSU o-line and provide for better blitzing. If APP can hold the line of scrimmage better than we are expected to then we have a chance to keep this close. If LSU is able to run at will then it will be a long hot day!

?

as far as defense goes where do we have depth besides the line.

starting linebackers are great but after that all we have are some very raw freshman.

Les is known for putting alot faith in his players, especially his qb's. i dont believe for a minute anyone on the LSU staff is worried about us stopping the run with lafell and byrd out there.

you sir know jack shite

I think that LSU will win this game fairly easily, even if it is close in the first half. The heat will be a huge advantage because because of LSU's depth will be able to keep fresher legs and hydrated players in. App. State obviously has some talented players, but depth will be the deciding factor because of the disparity in talent levels in the 2nd and 3rd strings. Look for LSU to pound away on the ground to wear out Appalachian's 1st string defense. Similarly, look for LSU's o-line to pound away at Appalachian's 1st string D-line. Rotating running backs and wide receivers will wear out Appalachian's D backs and unless LSU turns the ball over on a short field for 5 or 6 times, I don't think Appalachian has the depth to withstand the onslaught in the heat and humidity.

As far as the "no win," LSU will get valuable experience for our inexperienced QBs and corners and a win. Yes we are supposed to win, but the Michigan game last year gives us more credibilty than this game had in 2005 when most of the national audience didn't have a clue as to who Appalachian State was. Now some people actually expect an upset. If it doesn't happen, we get a little, but not much, credit. But the important thing is the experience for our QBs.

the d-line is actually pretty deep so im not so worried about the 1st string getting exhausted

Lets just say LSU pulls of the unthinkable and wins the NC game again...won't this make Kirston Pittman the only college player ever to have three natn'l championship rings?

all of the seniors from our last year's team plus the seniors and RS juniors on this year's team.

so no he wouldnt be.

ESPN does suck...

They made us move our November 1st, Saturday afternoon game to Friday night. That's Halloween. And it's going to be on ESPN, so it will take FOREVER....

are you kidding?

i cant wait for that game. halloween night is going to be the greatest night of my life. imagine a whole stadium of college coeds dressed up as sluts surrounded by drunk men decked out in costumes ready to party. its gonna be pandemonium. the cops arent going to know what to do.
are there any starters still recovering from injuries or surgeries?

i know a couple of ours are still a little banged up from the post season. (acitelli)
theres never been a div-II team to beat a ranked D-IA team. BUT, there was a D-IAA team that beat a ranked D-IA team last year.

true story.
in addition i get double if app wins but i have to pay double if we get shut out.

app has updated their roster as well. not that any of you care but i highly suggest checking out Corbett Harris. you wont regret it.
i got a $100 in a 21pt push for app to cover it. but theres bound to be more prop bets the closer we get to kickoff
my b on the anger.

im still at work and posting while drafting is hard to multi-task together.

well unlike you and hopefully your wife, i have testicles.
