Arkansas series this weekend?

If we can win 2 games against Arkansas I think we can finish strong and back into a Regional.
Maybe all this CKM mojo will carry over to The Box this weekend....

We were swept by Vandy bc we had no way putting any runs up against Leiter and Rocker

It's a weekend by weekend approach for me. 2/3 at Ole Miss has no bearing on how I feel against Arkansas. And, 2/3 against Arkansas has no bearing on how I feel at Auburn.
I didn't like seeing Milazzo get hurt tonight. Travinski is already banged up. That means we could have Wyeth or B Doughty behind the plate this weekend. I don't like that. Arkansas doesn't run much but they will.
I'm always nervous of an outlier game from Marceaux and/or Labas. Arkansas gets on base and slugs. We're a bad staff without great outings from Marceaux and Labas.
The Arkansas pitching staff is talented but beatable. Really good closer so you better have a cushion going into the late innings.
I'd like to see The Box at as high a capacity allowed with no masks, and for the kids to be able to throw the ball around the infield.
We need 1. 2 out of 3 is great. Sweep is HUGE.

Arky has good pitching but nowhere close to Leiter and Rocker but they can HIT!!
Our problem is our bullpen!
Marceaux and Labas will both have to pitch very well AND deep into the game for us to even have a chance of winning one game much less two.
I am afraid it will be an Arky slugfest on Sunday.

Would be ok if we won a game. And elated if won the series (even if we blow a game like we usually do).
At this point, I'm hoping we make the field.
So many are preoccupied with jettisoning CPM they downplay almost any positive. I want this team to reach its ceiling (which we haven't). And I think Landon and AJ give us a chance in every series.

The guys on College Baseball Nation podcast were split on the result this weekend. One had Arky 2/3 and the other had LSU 2/3. Neither could see a sweep. Both were "buy" on LSU as making it to a road regional. They talked about LSU for awhile actually. They believe 10-12 SEC wins gets them in, depending on who those final 4-6 wins come against, but it might take a win or 2 in the SECT. They believe 13-14 SEC wins locks them, regardless what they do in the SECT. Basically, they believe the RPI will be too strong to keep them out if they just do some work in the last 4-5 weeks of SEC play.

10-20 does not get us in. I could see 13 being the minimum we need.

I’m fully optimistic, but how this season has gone, we’re more likely to get swept than win 2/3 from a very strong Arkansas club.
