Carter and Gibler are their best 2 arms available. Carter went 4 IP in his longest outing against A&M and Gibler went 3 1/3 vs Tennessee in his longest outing. They also have Foutch who was throwing close to 100 mph but a little wild Saturday night. LSU hit Beidelschie and Bybee well in Baton Rouge.

If they start Landon B. I’m good with that because we touched him for 3 hits and 3 earned with two bombs by Luis and Monster in that series.
They actually had a good day against Evans so maybe it’s good he isn’t going. Cowan had success against them in the first game.

Gaeckle

He is 100% available today. It's a win or go home game for them, he's had 3 days of rest, he will throw and little doubt in my mind. They have to get to the Thursday game and they arent going to "Save" him for that unless they get up big today or something.

my case of saying they’re not going today isn’t that they’re not available but that they won’t pitch those several guys. They have enough arms available to not have to use those guys today, I have no doubt they’ll make anyone and everyone available tomorrow though when they’d be facing Kade Anderson on the mound.

But Gaeckle, Wood, and Root need some rest period while they have other reliable arms ready to go. I’d be surprised if we see any of them today. Jimenez though, I wouldn’t be surprised. I think they pulled him before the 9th last night to use today.

Gaekle could absolutely be used in relief. Win or go home. You leave no bullets unused.

Maybe not but I would be shocked if Gaeckle threw any more than an inning to close if they have a lead. He threw over 90 pitches on Saturday.

Were you shocked?
