Bear makes a mistake almost every game since he’s been on first base

I guess we had to find something to argue about?

Nope it’s a percentage game. Arky wins the game 98% of the time if routine high % plays are made . It’s was definitely a GIFT.

That’s literally the definition of a stupid comment. I mean literally. Jared has a .985 fielding percentage and 7 errors in 66 games. Also, Jared is a very good defensive 1st baseman. He made a pick off the ground to help Milam make that unbelievable play.

The double play that wasn't will live in Arkansas infamy forever, just like the popup that landed between 3 players
- Error in judgement by the first baseman fielding Curiel’s grounder
- Error in judgement by Aloy going to third
- Misplayed ball in the outfield
- Second baseman missing Jones’ game winner.
All of these add up to the popup that landed among the three Arkansas defenders.

Arkansas has an all-SEC 2nd baseman that was fully extended has high as he could jump. Do not include that as a mistake like the other 2. He made a great effort it was out of his reach. Hit all the way. It doesn’t belong in the group with the others.

They handed LSU the game. I don’t care, LSU in the finals

Evidence the OP hasn’t watched any games this season except for CWS. Bear has been awesome on first.

Arky was only in the game at that point because Jones didn’t make the catch on the double play (led to 2 Arky runs) and Brown slipped on the double steal (kept 1 LSU run off the board).
If not for those mistakes, it’s 4-3 LSU instead of 5-3 Arky going into the bottom of the 9th, and Arkansas doesn’t even get a chance to choke it away.
I said it in another thread, but the only difference is that our mistakes didn’t happen in the bottom of the 9th. So yeah, they choked. But they didn’t gift us any more than we gifted them in the grand scheme.

I’ll take the win any way we can get it. But that’s one game we’re the loser LOST more than the winner WON it.
Just a complete collapse on what should have been multiple routine plays to win for the Hogs.
The only one that wasn’t an easy play was Jones’ liner off the second baseman’s glove.

Was last night the first game you’ve actually watched?
He’s had his struggles at the plate late in the season but his defense has been fantastic. The missed double play was a one off.
Hell he made 2 other great defensive plays last night.

And snagging that line drive foul ball in the first to get an early out.

That’s what I thought when I saw it live, but others were saying he should have had it. I haven’t seen a replay. In fact, I’ve been so busy today I haven’t had a chance to rewatch the highlights.

We just happen to have last bat in that game which was a good thing. I agree that the Arky second basemen made a hell of a play on Jones game ending single but he was about two inches to short from making catch.
Posted on 6/19/25 at 3:46 pm to sarussell01
No. Arkansas lost it. There were 3 costly mistakes in about 10 minutes.
Posted on 6/19/25 at 3:59 pm to LSUbacchus81
Disagre, We had more errors not to mention Dickinson’s mechanics issue which prevented a double play and led to a run
Posted on 6/20/25 at 5:45 am to OchoDedos
I can agree with that but everybody is forgetting Dickerson misses a double play opportunity when he threw to 3rd instead of 2nd then Bear missing the catch on 1st gave Arkansas a few runs.

Exactly what I’ve been trying to tell everyone. Arkansas’ errors are being talked about more because for one, they lost, and two theirs happened in the 9th inning mostly when we were batting last in bottom of the 9th.
