We have to get a couple of hits from the bottom of the order: dick, brass, Stan, someone

In 1985, yeah.

For what it's worth...you pretty much have to treat playing in this park like you're playing in 1985. Small ball and producing runs produces wins here, like it or not. Nobody has straight up mashed their way to a win here yet. Only 1 game where a team has scored over 10 runs. The 8 teams combined are averaging less than 5 runs per game (not including this game so far).

Arizona scored 4 and 3. 2 homeruns
Murray State scored 4 and 0. 0 homeruns

UCLA scored 6, 5, and 3. 0 homeruns
Oregon St scored 4, 6, and 2. 4 homeruns
Louisville scored 3, 7, 8, and 3. 2 homeruns

Coastal Carolina has scored 7, 6, and 11. 0 homeruns
Arkansas has scored 1, 3, and 7. 2 homeruns
LSU has scored 4 and 9. 1 homerun

You absolutely have to play small ball here and move runners around and hunt opportunities to score 1 each inning.

We have had 2 chances to do that with Frey in the 1st and Pearson in the 2nd and haven't done it yet. There's obviously no guarantees as to what would happen after that...but that's the way this field plays.

Cowan's movement is great today. Keep up the location and he'll go a few more innings.

It’s like we’ve turned the clock back to late March with Cowan.
