I disagree. Kole Taylor, Jalen Shead, and Jack Bech in the hybrid role are more than capable. Jake Johnson is on the way. We’ll be fine.

Was he a head case or wouldn't go to class case?

Lol at all the pussies in here that would go absolutely crazy if you spoke the truth about that kid as if it was going to mean the difference between him coming back or leaving. He was NEVER coming back he just needed to find the highest bidder and suprise suprise it’s Kirby at Georgia who is going to give him whatever he wants like being called a WR now. Downvote me all you want but I’m happy this frickstick is gone and he might be the only Tiger to leave that I don’t wish well. I hope he gets a hard dose of the real world and maybe that makes him a little less batshit crazy.

Amazing how most everyone has changed their minds about Gilbert now that he has become a Georgia Bulldog. I said he was good but not great, and he had miles to go before he was on the same planet as Kyle Pitts. Seems folks didn't like that take. I always READ about how great he was, I just never actually SAW it.
I also don't know where the story about the 1.0 GPA originated. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not, but no one actually knows. I don't recall any player ever leaving the team during a season because of grades. For all we know, he's been taking online classes from Harvard.
I don't know what his story is, but I never really cared, nor did I care if he played for LSU or not. I mostly remember a unicorn instead of the mythical super player he was supposed to be. Maybe the myth becomes reality at Georgia...and I still won't care about the kid.

Well, than he would be a Gator, no?
Taking classes at harvard wouldn't help, he has to be eligible at the current school and eligible at the new school. Most likely neither one is true.
Waiver?

Can he coach the team? Because Georgia needs a coach.

Not at all. One day the truth will come out.

He's eligible to transfer to Georgia, so he's apparently in good standing academically at LSU. Perhaps Florida's academic requirements for transfers are higher. I don't know the truth about the kid, but no one else on the board knows, either.
That's the point. Everything about Gilbert and his situation is just pure speculation that people are accepting as fact, including his reputation as a superstar. I never saw it. I never saw his GPA or reports from his psychiatrist or drug counselor, either. No one knows anything.

OK he gone. Now after getting it all outta your system for 24 hours, let his name be gone from our memories.

He'll be a problem where ever he plays, college or pros.
I'm glad this circus is over.

One legit WR, no run game, and a mediocre OL. Our offense is going to struggle so badly this season.
You're a complete and total fricking idiot.

He is
He can't control split decisions by people. He's not in their minds or houses. Gilbert left LSU, committed to UF, talked to us, then committed and now enrolled with UGA
