and an idiot for having those kinds of expectations from a young man that has not even taken a single fake hand off whilst wearing the purple and gold.

The kid is the most highly rated RB to ever sign with LSU. He was the #1 RB in high school last season. He was recruited by the most powerful colleges/coaches in the nation. He is 6-1, 220, and runs a 4.4 40.

What's so wrong with having high expectations for a player of his rep? The 260 yards gained and NFL hall of fame is over the top, but I fully expect the guy to be a big time player for LSU and in the SEC.

Love the enthusiasm !!!! I seriously doubt he is going to see the field as much as most would like his freshman year.

I see him being 1B to Magee's 1A for the first 6 games. Then I see him being 1A and Magee 1B. They split 300-320 carries.

I have no doubt that fournette takes over the position, sooner than later.

Not at all. Sure we didn't do as well as we hoped but that had nothing to do with some funk we're still in. Lsu football has moved past that game but he hasn't.

This

Conversation over an ICB with an ex Tiger QB this week - ya just never know how they react to SEC speed & strength. If he adjust, as I I think he will, he will be in the record books before his LSU career is finished, with a lot of luck (injuries, etc). A fine young man, mature beyond his years, that hopefully, will not be asked to go 30+ carries a game. While he may very capable of doing that, I think this staff is smarter than the dummies at OU & what they did with AP.

Not predicting a another LSU Heisman, but on paper, the potential is their. Been a long time since I could say that.

I'm on board - BUGA

We could win 8 games a year on a 14 games schedule and he'd be a happy camper.

Serious question: will the lsu crowd be chanting "buga, buga..." in the stadium before the first game?

Not during fall practice but If I'm being serious and honest and we're talking about Houston I can't say I wouldn't start the chant. You know what I would start the chant.
