sciv has the same number rbi, slugging 700, hitting 424 from the 7 hole while playing in 5 less games

He must be hitting 900 w/ risp

I really want to know his number with RISP. Sounds like a great candidate for a pinch hitter late.

why can't you see that CPM is trying to squeeze every oz. of offensive potential out of this lineup.

he is willing to sacrafice some deficiencies in defense in order to produce the most potent lineup.

I see it. Doesn't mean I agree with it. He played Stevenson his freshman year... sub 200. Ross at catcher as a Junior... 200ish. Nola at SS as a freshman... 240ish. All defensive decisions. He took Zardon away from 3B in the name of defense. I think playing KRob at 2nd is good for the defense. And he's hitting around .240. Does it look like we need to hit .300 at every point in the lineup?

I just wanted to make sure you realized it.

If you can keep on putting up consistent offense like today, you bet ya

Scoring runs has been a problem for us though. We've been hitting the ball well, but we're leaving too many guys on base. It was nice to see us score a few runs today.

Um... do you know what this means?

If we had a consistent offense, we could easily handle a 240 guy at the bottom...

Can't really take much away from sunday. It was fun to watch, but OM was completely out of pitchers. Foster finally played like he was uncomfortable at 2b. It didn't hurt us yesterday and his offense this weekend more than made up for it. CPM guessed right with this experiment. That's why he's in coaching and we are not. It's going to cost us a tight game eventually. Here's to hoping PM's crystal ball is still working and he tweaks it again before that happens.

conjecture. If LSU gets 3 outs in the 9th Saturday then Foster at 2nd won us that game.

It's not really about averages. It's about OPS. Robertson is awful. Foster one of LSU's best. 400 points separated them going into the weekend.

In no scenario do I want Foster on the bench. What's Kramer's OPS compared to Chinea?

We didn't get 3 outs in 9th. And Chinea at first, then killing the DH helped us lose it.

They're both bad. Robertson last, Chinea 2nd to last. About 90 points separate them.

I think Byrd is gonna be a good one. Don't see any reason for him to supplant Foster for now. If Foster just shows he can't play second at all then i'd give Byrd a chance. So far I'm "ok" with how Foster did the first weekend.

Hunter Newman:
T-1st in ERA
2nd in BAA
1st in WHIP
Last in innings pitched. Way to use him Paul!

Agreed on Foster. He's done well enough. A couple shakey plays but some good ones too.

I don't get the lack of Newman either. Didn't he face just one batter yesterday?

I just want to see him get more ABs to see what he can do. He's looked solid in the field and at the plate in the limited playing time he's gotten.
