My answer is YES.

I was so upset at Coach O for NOT going for those last 6 inches on 4th and goal in the Citrus Bowl (I was there), that, when we lost that game, I was pretty tired of LSU Football after many decades.

Bowl game results DO matter to me. 10-3, winner of NY6 bowl, and top 10 ranking makes me more excited about how we'll do in 2019 than I was about 2018 last August.

More excited going into 18 since Bama was a home game and Fulton was reinstated

I was really excited bout the 2018 season, after Burrow became part of the mix. Even moreso looking forward to 2019! Will be a great season IMHO.

Yes because it will be a new season and NO because CSE will still be the OC.

No. Alabama will be just as good and we’ll slip up on at least one more game. Same as I felt for 2018

Cautiously optimistic about this....CSE's system will still limit his effectiveness.

Orgeron did a great job of getting this team to show up in games where everybody picked them to lose. Not just great, an amazing job (outside of Bama).

Georgia game was the most fun i had in TS since LF and auburn 2015.
Ill never understand why they stopped giving the ball to Holyfield.

Based on the posts and talk, I really believe there is much more optimism about 2019 football than there was going into this past year. Is this evidence that "WE COMIN"?

I think next year will be another 9 win regular season to be honest.

I get it but he went nuclear his last 2 games

A&M
300 yards passing
3tds
0ints
100 yards rushing
3tds

UCF
394 yards passing
4tds
1int

A lsu qb threw for 394. Thats 3 jordan Jefferson games.

Wasn't the A&M game actually more like 200 passing yards and 2 tds in regulation?

Texas on the road is no joke. And, of course Alabama.

Our home schedule isn't imposing. Three OOC cupcakes and Arky, Auburn and Florida (they'll be good but...we're not playing them ON.THE.ROAD). Also A&M, W. 7 wins.

Other road games: Miss St. (they have a bad coach, W), Ole Miss, W, Vandy, W (why are we playing them on the road, with their tiny stadium)?

So 11-1 is possible, by I have a 10-2 feeling in.my.bones.

No, we still must play Alabama and this year the game will be played in Tuscaloosa. I still think we need to hire a competent OC instead of a retread. I also think we will struggle with A&M and Florida. No real improvement is to be expected. A lot of fans are optimistic because of Joe Burrow, but I still think he is an average QB at best. He had a believable game against UCF, but that team’s defense was not very good. If UCF was in the SEC, they would be a team in the lower tier. How much improvement on the OLine will be still in question.

bama is bama. Can’t count that right now

Does everyone really think we can go 4-0 against Texas, a&m, Auburn, Florida?

God yes. This year I thought 10-2 was the absolute ceiling with the floor being 6-6. Next year really could be special. We are returning so many players. And, Chaisson getting hurt was a blessing in disguise. I certainly don't want to see any player get hurt, but if he stays healthy, he's gone this year. Him coming back next year is huge.

We get our hardest games at home, minus Bama, and it really doesn't matter where we play Bama. They will be ridiculously tough no matter where they play.

If we stay healthy and out of trouble, I could see us going 11-1. UF and aTm at home is huge for us.

couldn’t imagine how a Les Miles led team would respond to 29-0 being ranked 3rd in the country.

We lost to the only decent team we played after bama.
