Are you hoping that LSU plays the “NFL” players, or do you hope they don’t?

Are you wanting to see these guys on the field this weekend and or the next couple weeks? Or are you hoping that we don’t let them of the roster because of future hearings?

I'm hoping this isn't like the other 500 threads we had on this.

I was wrong.

I don’t think they have a choice. If they don’t, they get sued by the players and have to pay damages, correct?

I’m thinking if LSU doesn’t play them and waits for clarity from the SEC, the league will drag this out in court all year and they’ll never get cleared.
Ironically, if they do play, the SEC will move swiftly.

They dont HAVE to play them. But they do HAVE to have them on the roster now or they can get sued

I really hope they do. Of course they could help the team, but they also deserve a shot.

Push back the 5 for 5 ruling to January and we’re all talking about the 5 transfers from Ole Miss and how they will help the team.

Sounds like they were mostly depth pieces so I think the happy middle ground would be to have them rostered in accordance with court order but withhold from playing them until we can determine if the SEC punishments would be enforceable or not so that if that lawsuit goes against us we have plausible deniability and can say we were simply following the Louisiana court order. I’d assume at that point those players would then sue the SEC and we could recoup whatever NIL monies were expended on them while on the roster.

Play them. We are following the law. SEC would risk contempt and significant damages to enforce penalties on LSU.

no they won't. Did you not hear the Judge's comments...about him having a big gun, and if the SEC is feeling froggy, to leap?

I hope Wright scores 3 touchdowns and gives Dabo the DX chop.

I don't think Harris is ready to play yet. I don't think Wright plays this weekend. I think he does against OM.

If the SEC was intimidated by the judge, they wouldn’t have sued LSU in Federal court

I am hoping they don't until some dust settles.

The offseason pent up energy is making this thing blow up. When we start playing football, let's see if the narrative changes and if anything with the SEC lawsuit against LSU changes.

Then we make the call later in the season.

I'd love to just steamroll some teams without them first.

I don’t think we play them because of the last minute rulings here. I do think we roster them but they don’t dress. I think we spend the week ironing out rules and play them for the Tech game.

Just totally wrong.

LSU will never be legally obligated to add a player to the roster and nothing any court has done imposes that obligation.

they filed the suit before the hearing. The Judge had issued no decision at the time. I would bet my left nut the SEC isn't feeling the same smugness today after that disaster of a performance by Sankey.
