You're confusing this with a changing situation. Those that called LSU a LOCK included the scenario that LSU would lose today. If LSU makes the NCAAT with today's loss, then those parties were correct.

You are acting like there are only two scenarios (LSU loses or LSU wins). The outcome of today's game is only one variable that determines whether LSU gets in. There is still a lot that can happen that keeps LSU out of the tournament. If auburn beats Kentucky tomorrow, LSU is out. LSU is not a lock.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the OP.

OP said he was ripped for saying we were not a lock if we lost today. How does my post explaining exactly why we are not a lock not have anything to do with the OP?

Because he's calling out posts PRIOR to today's game.

I'll let it be. Have a good night. LSU is making the NCAAT.

I think we are a lock (or very close to it).

I am not a sunshine pumper, just look at things objectively I can't find 68 teams to put over LSU.

Sorry if this ruins your emotional thread
I can understand where the OP is coming from. Seems like for the past couple weeks, LSU has been basically right on the edge of the bubble. Get a good win, lose a bad loss. If you posted on here expressing any concern that the Tigers might be messing things up by losing to Tennessee etc, there have been a couple of posters practically shouting you down; almost like people are afraid some committee members are going to read this forum and say "y'know, LSU really isn't that good after all, their fans are concerned after they lost to Tennessee. Let's leave them out".

We had a good enough season to be in, I hope they are in. But it wouldn't stun me if we got left out. I felt we had to win today to be a lock. Now, we're on the edge.

Right, but if you said LSU was a lock prior to today's game then that means you thought LSU would make the tournament even if they lost AND there were multiple upsets in conference tournaments. I don't see how you could think that is true.

Yes, LSU will make the NCAAT.

they may, and that's nice and all, but can you really tell me you are excited about this team. Terrible guard play for the most part (Gray should not see the floor again, but he will), poor fundamentals, and poor coaching. If they get in, great, I'll pull for them. If they don't, I won't sweat it....they honestly don't deserve to be in. Before you start jumping up and down saying they won some big games...they lost SIX games to teams outside the top 100....and have lost two of the last three games to teams that are terrible...with a bid on the line each time. I don't know why so many of you think they can make a deep run. They have not shown they can play consistent from game to game.....just a poorly coached team with very low basketball iq, and poor fundamentals.

we are going to make the big dance. we locked it up with the win at arkansas. only thing we were playing for in the sec tourney was our seed in the dance. watch. and it doesnt matter if yall think lsu should be in or not thank God. bottom line is we are too good of a team when we play good to leave us out and people see that. lsu has played up and down to their competition this year. i think you will see them at their best in the ncaas. geaux tigers

I agree...but I'm sorry, I just don't think they deserve to be in it. I don't think they are good enough. Can they win a game or two in the tourney? I suppose so...they seem to play well against the better teams....but you just can't ignore the fact they lost 6 games this year to teams outside the top 100....you just can't ignore that.

Welcome to conference tournaments. Teams that are in don't give a frick + shite teams that are playing with nothing to lose = shite.

I was one that called it prior to the UT loss. Win one of 3 and LSU is in. After @ARK win - LOCK.

That's what the OP is referring to. I simply can't believe you don't understand that variables were included in saying LOCK a week ago. OP is calling out posters and LSU is still going to make the NCAAT.

But you said that if LSU makes the tournament then everyone saying that LSU was a lock was correct. That's simply not true.

Let me give an example:

LSU has 3 games to play. I say LSU is a LOCK to make the NCAAT even if they go 1-2. LSU goes 1-2 and makes the NCAAT. I was right. See?

OP is calling out when it's still decided if LSU was truly the LOCK or not.

Can't be that confusing, right?

How else would you expect someone to declare anything?

3 games to go. Poster A says, "LSU 1-2 = LOCK". Poster B says "NIT" after every loss.

My post history says LSU LOCK a week ago. You're saying because selection is Sunday, I could be wrong. No shite.

But it doesn't mean that LSU wasn't a LOCK all along given the 1-2 finish.
