Are these new face shields mandatory?

Abundance of caution due sweat and spit flopping out while playing. If any China Virus, droplets can carry it. Without droplets there is no spread.

Also, no fingers which might carry CV after touching face face grabbing inside of mask on other person's face. shite happens even when unintentional.

Viruses are spread by infected people.

The people playing on the football field will not be infected. They have no virus to spread.

They won’t be wearing the helmets on the sideline

Sure they are trying them out
When the weather cools I’m sure it would work better
Not in rain or these humid conditions
If not comfortable I’m sure player can opt out and not wear it
Let’s hope players don’t spit in the pile at end of plays

It's not too hard to imagine a dirty or foggy shield blocking Brennan's vision and he throws a pick six to the bama defense and they go on to defeat us because of a dirty fricking face shield that is totally unnecessary.
