It is certainly the most unique. For that reason alone I would call it the best. Let's face it, everybody else is either the schools initials or a reproduction of the helmet logo.

Exactly. Most places, I can't even think what their midfield logo is. Ours is completely unique, which is awesome. And far better than the old block "LSU" which was just boring.

It used to be great but whoever has been doing it the past couple years has made it weird looking. Lsu definitely needs to keep it, just find better artists.

Plus it has a cool song to go with it too!

This could certainly help.

Love it. It's unique. None better and only a few would be in the discussion. If someone has a better idea, do tell.

It is done by freehand each week.

i can't believe there are people that dislike the "eye". that's mind blowing. no wonder the rant exists...

No, I hated when Dinardo took it off, props to Saban for re-instilling the tradition.
I am fairly certain that the Eye was removed long, long before DiNardo. I recall other mid-field logos from games in the 1980's and 1990's. I think there may have been other logos before that, as well. It would be interesting to see a pictorial history of mid-field (and the endzones) by year.

I don't think they paint that midfield?

Love it as a midfield design.
Absolutely terrible on anything else though! On T shirts, hats, flags, etc it is an unshapely and unsharp blob of a logo.
Give me all of Toonces or give me none of him I say!

Its so easy for me:
LSU
and
ECU.
I wanted to hold off on saying my alma mater, but we loved it when they put it on the field.
