I'd guess it would be the score on 01/09/12.

Wow. Score? Really? Nice, if surprising, to see a Gump actually admit that score is at least sometimes relevant (just not in the games where Bama scores less, apparently).

Football is just a different sport in Alabama. In other places, like Louisiana, for example, final score is considered one of the more relevant stats in football. In Gumpland, however, it's meaningless. The truly important stat, and the one by which real champions reveal themselves, is missed field goals. The more you miss, the better you are. That's why the Gumps laugh at us when we say this LSU team is so great, knowing all the while they have 11 missed field goals on the season and we only have 2. Too bad Alleman screwed us by making almost 90% of his FG attempts. If he had missed some of those, we might be as good as Alabama.

The only stat that matters to me is that Bama couldn't beat us in their stadium in one of the most hyped games of all time.

Jan. 9th its in New Orleans btw.

They keep beating the same drum about how they STATISTICALLY beat us. But field goal % is a stat. LSU also led in rushing yards, sacks and return yardage. They held the ball exactly 12 seconds longer than us. How is that STATISTICALLY beating us. They were gassed in the 4th and QUIT in OT. They will loose again

Gumps do not care about that stuff since it is not in their favor.

All I can say is just embrace reality. Do you believe Bama is in the BCSNCG solely because of the opinions of the Bama fanbase?

The funny thing is that when you add the yardage that they outgained us by and add it to their average starting field position, they are still looking at close to a 40 yard field goal.

It's all completely fricking meaningless.

I've known different Alabama people throughout my entire life, and I've always known them to be smug, but I never saw anything like this delusional desperation until the last few years.

I honestly think that the twenty-something straight arse rapings that they took from Tommy Tubberville and Auburn made them insane.

Anyhow, whatever credibility they may have had as a fan base has been completely lost, due to the pathetic whining that we've heard from ALL OF THEM since 11-5. I've never seen anyone take a single loss so badly.

My favorite score relevant to Bama/LSU is our historical series 45-25-5.

Every gump I know thinks try will win easily. They seem to think that they were on LSU's 5 yard line 6-7 times and just had a brain fart every time resulting in no points. Either that or try stick their finger in their ears and say," IT DIDNT HAPPEN, IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.PLEASE BELIEVE ME".

Yep, those scores from a hundred years ago are really relevant. What about the last 10-12 years? Relevant?
