Agreed. Very excited to see this team play.
Fan of the program, not the coach. Right, Rog

This will be his sixth year as an SEC head coach. Surely he’s managed some type of championship in that time period, right
Why didn't you answer my question asswipe?
How many titles does ole miss have over the last 20 years. Hell when was the last time that ole miss won a NC?
He's going into his 3rd year at LSU. His 2nd year he went 10 and 3 with a team that had obvious issues along the offensive line, no depth at tight end, no proven running backs or QB, inexperience at WR, and that's just on offense.
Those issues have been addressed and the offense won't be a liability this year. You'd rather harp on last year than admit that most of that has been corrected. You're just looking for something to complain about.

You're obsessed with post county, the majority of which has absolutely nothing to do with this topic.
You're in for a disappointing season.

I sincerely hope that you don't think that you're going to be posting support for this team if they're in the hunt for a NC this November.

He will not post if we're winning. Bank on it.

If you want to start firing coaches because they are only winning 9-10 games a year then there will not be a single coach with options that will want to coach here.
This is where part of the frustration comes from. I do believe O is capable of late career Miles and winning 8-10 games here indefinitely and never taking the next step. Hence why, yes, he will be here for multiple years while a certain segment of the base champions that as some phenomenal accomplishment every single year.
There will always be challenges, injuries, the next recruiting class to prop him up when we literally just got done with that type of coach resting on his laurels. And I'd argue Miles was RESTING and complacent, this is O performing at his highest level.

It's absolutely amazing how large a fable people construct to support a hardened stance.

This is exactly the OP's point. This is the mentality that fans have sunk to. Orgeron is now in his 4th year, but its too early to measure his success? Yet …
Saban: took a team that was winless in the SEC and by Year 4 won it all. When only 2 teams were eligible.
Miles: took a BCS winning team and by Year 3 had won it all, and should have won a 2nd one in Year 7. When only 2 teams were eligible.
Orgeron: took over from two championship coaches, who had 3 teams in the championship, but hasn't even been hinted at to be in the playoffs. Despite 4 teams now being eligible.
Dabo: won his division in Year 4
Mahlzahn: SEC champ in Year 1
Jimbo: won his division in Year 3, the BCS in Year 4
Stoops: BCS champion in Year 2
Meyer: BCS champ in Year 2 at UF; BCS champ in Year 3 at OSU
Riley: playoffs in Year 1 & 2
Smart: playoffs in Year 2
Helfrich: playoffs in Year 2
Time to stop making excuses. Orgeron wins a title of some kind this year, or its time to move on. That is if you are still expecting an elite football program. Otherwise just admit to yourself that you've lowered your expectations. And Orgeron gets to stay as long as he wins 9 games each year.
I've had a copy and paste post about "giving coaches time" that is exactly this. Most great coaches win immediately or within 3 years. They "Get time" because they earn time with hardware and material results. This is O's year to do that, if we can't, we should probably move on.

Please show me in O's past where he has exceeded these results. Otherwise, last season was O at his proven best so far.,

When Miles was at OSU, show me the results that indicated he could win 13 games in one season.
If you want to play it hard and fast.

I’m not Ree, Rog.
I posted here more after the wins over Miami, Auburn, and UGA than I did after the losses to UF or AM.
I admittedly posted a lot after 29-0 to Alabama at home though

bullshite. the OP and several others have stated that if you're not prepared to replace O with jimbo right now that you're an O lover and you put O above LSU football which is absurd.
Quote anyone who explicitly stated this. Otherwise this comment is absurd.

O pumpers have absolutely no rebuttal for that. Sadly, even when O misses the playoffs and the SEC Championship this season they will have a list of excuses at the ready for why it’s really 2020 that is the make or break year. Luckily, as is the point of the OP, LSU now has an AD whose legacy is not tied to crafting a narrative where O must be considered successful at any cost.

“ concerns”
Who knew that 10 wins, a third place finish in the West, and 29-0 L to Bama in TS would suddenly become such a giant step forward for the LSU football program in the minds of some.

Do you REALLY want to bring a coach’s first job record into this? Really?
