Are Bianco strikeouts regular?

Was he striking out this much in scrimmages, or is this just a settling in kind of thing? 6 strikeouts in 12 ABs really jumps out at me

Poor kid dropped a throw right in his mitt. 6K's in 12 AB's. Rough start.

Yea but I’m not as worried about that. He is a good fielder and I’m confident that won’t become a regular occurance. If he wasn’t striking out like this in scrimmages, it’s probably an acclimation thing.

Also don’t forget he had that incredible grab over the weekend, and a home run, it’s been an up and down start but I wouldn’t say necessarily rough

Bregman started 0-fer in big leagues. New arena and better pitching he’s facing now. Appears to be aggressive at plate. He will be fine once he really settles in

Can honestly say I’ve never heard scrimmages abbreviated

Yea I play video games. When pro players in video games practice it’s called “scrims”. Forgot that terminology didn’t carry over

I was asking whether this was normal, not suggesting that I thought Bianco would struggle

My gosh, you start a ton of threads.

Scrimmmages isn't even a baseball term. It's associated with football. Baseball generally refers to it as intrasquad games.

I just ask what comes to my mind because there are people on this site that have been there and know exactly what players were like during scrimmages. Unfortunately those aren’t always who reply. I think it’s a fair question to ask whether the current trends are normal for him or not.

I don’t think so. We have 10+ threads started by Scuba that all say scrimmage, and people on this board refer to them as scrimmages

Well Bianco hasn’t started facing better pitching yet. The better pitchers he will be facing will be in the SEC. these guys he has faced thus far are average at best.

Ok. So you know about Scuba's scrimmage threads, yet you started this one asking how Bianco did in them?
Why don't you look through those threads yourself, and find Bianco's stats? You don't need to start a thread for every single thought you have.

This isn’t much different from they way Deichmann or even Cabrera started their careers.
It’s a big difference for these guys.

There are different types of strikeouts. For the most part, the ones I have seen from Bianco this far were not strikeouts on quality at bats, except for 1 or 2. Just seeing a K in the stats doesn’t tell me what I’m asking.

Honestly I think it’s time for Beloso to get some more swings

That kids a hell of a ball player. He’ll turn the corner.

He’s an Ole Miss mole. His dad told him to go here on purpose so he could play bad at one of Ole Miss’s rivals
