LSU 's top two adverseries on the field over the last 50 years. Manning's rebels beat us twice before we finally won in 1970 to go to the orange bowl. Tebows gators were 3-1 against us. Which of the 2 QBs gave the more impressive lifetime performance against the tigers. If you saw them both play...say so.

Archie Manning was good, but Tim Tebow is by far the best QB to play in tiger stadium in the last fifty years

I have to say Manning. I'll never forget that nightmare in Jackson during the '69 season and what that loss cost us post season. I was at that game and that is the one game that I'll never forget. We lost a shot at the NC and because of Notre Damn we lost a berth in the Cotton Bowl. It really hurt when the Sugar Bowl selected Ole Miss over us, so Manning gets my vote. Tebow never cost us what that loss to Archie cost us.

LSU's 1969 team was as good as any LSU team I can remember seeing play. I was only 4 in 1958.

Archie Manning single handedly beat as good an LSU team I have seen.

Tebow has had lot of help.

WOW.. Just WOW!! Don't care about Heisman - we had a few of those play there... don't care about won-loss. I do care about where they will end up. THERE ARE SO MANY in the PF HOF that played against LSU that is difficult to remember them all. Manning was an excellent QB, So was Bert Jones, YA Tittle, to name a few. The greatest...NO WAY.

Archie Manning's supporting cast wasn't nearly as good as Tebowe's. Archie led Ole Miss on two late scoring drives to beat us when he was a Soph and Jr. We could nver tackle him when it counted. He broke his arm early in his senior year. He came back with a cast on his arm to play us. Unfortunately for the Rebels their defense could not stop the Tigers and we won by a big margin.

Agreed.. people on here are mostly too young to remember him scrambling.. Funny how those skills came in handy during his pro career...
